Lipstick Queen Silver Screen Lipsticks

As they say, go big or go home! Lipstick Queen Silver Screen Lipstick GOES big for Fall 2014 with a new, exciting formula that rivals upscale lipsticks far and wide.

In 2013, Lipstick Queen introduced a very upscale lipstick in the form of Velvet Rope Lipstick. At $50, it wasn’t a cheap lipstick and it was quite a price jump from what the brand is already known for. Needless to say it’s an incredibly luxurious lipstick with intense, dramatic pigmentation.

For Fall 2014, Lipstick Queen Silver Screen Lipstick takes on a new texture and formula with the same great pigmentation! Inspired by the silver screen this new formula provides a glossy, pigmented Hollywood worthy pout!

Lipstick Queen Silver Screen Lipstick comes housed in a square silver tube which gives it an old Hollywood vibe. The packaging is luxe, glamorous, and I’m pretty sure you won’t be shy about whipping it out of your purse for touch ups on the go.

Lipstick Queen Silver Screen Lipstick

I’m not a huge matte lipstick lover but the Velvet Rope Lipstick formula did change my mind about dramatic mattes that’s for sure. Obviously, much to my delight, I was excited that this time around Poppy King, the Lipstick Queen herself, decided to create a glossy, wet finish in her next lipstick launch. The glossiness of this new lipstick is achieved from an innovative new active ingredient Pomegranate Sterols. This 100% natural active, derived from the pomegranate fruit, improves the barrier-function of your lips and keeps them soft and hydrated while giving lips a glossy finish.

This lipstick has a balmy texture with a high sheen finish. The color is fully pigmented on a single application and provides a softening layer of lipstick that feels like I’m wearing a lip balm. I find it wears for around five hours and during that time it doesn’t feather nor does it migrate and it remains very pleasantly hydrating. I wouldn’t call it intensely glossy but it does have a very high sheen which gives it the illusion of a nice glossiness. It does have a subtle minty flavor and fragrance which I find quite pleasant and shouldn’t disturb sensitive users too much!

I tried out You Kid which is a perfect nude, natural shade!

Needless to say Lipstick Queen Silver Screen Lipstick doesn’t disappoint. Yes, $50 may seem a lot for a single lipstick but truly there’s a lot of amazing that goes into this packaging and incredible formula. These do NOT disappoint!

This is really pricey but it’s a really pretty nude. I love how it looks on you! I’ll be looking for a dupe though lol

Gorgeous on you, the texture reminds me of Too Faced la creme lippies and half the price :S

thanks chica! texture is quite different from la cremes but those are a fav of mine too 😀

Well worth the cost. Come up is the one I purchased and I have been wearing it a lot. A beautiful barbi pink for us grown ups! Not too pale or blue based. Texture is is nice and soft and not too glossy. I do feel these are softer so don’t press too hard when applying. Velvet rope for drama. This for everyday! Love it

I want to get some of these but just can’t see myself spending $50 a tube. I do have some of her other lippies and they are wonderful. I think I’ll stick with Bite Beauty until she releases another collection at a lesser price (or these go on sale).

Unless unicorns and fairies pop out of the tube, $50 is no bueno. Packaging is lovely and I appreciate her passion, but I just can’t justify the cost.
