About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I’m looking forward to your swatching. I am die hard Tarte fan but just returned the Away Oui Go because the eye colors lacked variation. It can be so hard to judge colors looking at a picture swatches and descriptions of you all who review can really help me to decide on what my Holiday Palette for 2014 will be!

  • Jess

Wow! Are the blushes full size? That looks like an amazing deal Muse! Wish this was in Canada <3

  • JoElla

Muse, I so can’t wait to see swatches and read your review about this kit!

I am really hoping they are new shadows. And I really wish they had different eyeliners in this.

  • Melissa

I really want to order this. There are so many holiday makeup sets out I want! I have 2 from too faced. Have you heard that Tarte will be launching just a lipgloss set? It’s different from their new lip set that just came out. Can’t wait to see swatches

  • ariel

May I get the link for one time purchase? The link you provided is for auto-delivery. Thanks.

  • Amber

I don’t think we will get that info until closer to when it’s on air. I got mine yesterday but unfortunately was too sick to play. It looks gorgeous though

  • Lori P

Just ordered the auto delivery set. Tarte Holiday kits are the bomb! I’m also getting the Holiday kits from Ulta AND Sephora. 😀

  • Bea

This set is worth it for the 2 full size blushes alone. The mascara is amazing, granted I’m not a fan of tarte shadows but it’s an awesome value. I ordered 🙂

  • diane

I got this by UPS yesterday but was too tired to play. Everything looks gorgeous and I love the packaging- I just wish the lipsurgences were more pink or berry and less coral-ish. btw i got the job in manhattan so i expect us to meet up soon please!! =D

    • Isabella Muse

yay! 😀 I haven’t played yet either don’t feel bad! I don’t mind! coral works for me! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m so happy for you congrats! ;-D sounds good to me!

ps I still want you guys to come up for Halloween! would be fun 😀 i’ll text ya some deets as soon as I have a sec to breath (been so crazy!)

I can’t wait to see swatches, I am a newly devoted fan of Tarte shadows, but the one palette I have from the Bow and Go is huge and not really travel friendly, so this would be a great alternative.

I ordered this yesterday! I’m such a sucker for this year’s Tarte holiday sets, I already got Brushed With Destiny, Away Oui Go, Bon Voyage and Pin Up Girl. Plus there are a few other things I have my eye on. IMHO Tarte has the best holiday collection this year, even better than LORAC, although I did get a Mega Pro! Muse, do you know if this set comes with one or two LCL mascaras? I can’t wait to see the auto delivery shades!

    • Isabella Muse

they only list one jess but I’ll ask and see 🙂 yay! nice hauling girl! that’s a lot of tarte hehe 😀 I agree better than Lorac 😀 the Mega Pro was HOT this year hehe 😀

I am not a Lorac fan either – I wanted to be..lol. Gave it a good go. I loved it that they had so many mattes and when I got the Lorac Pro 2, I was so disappointed. The mattes were powdery and poofed all over the place, hard to blend and the shimmers didn’t seem to work well either..even if I put them in the crease only. The quality did not seem up to par with the hype. (yeah mega pro was way hot, I didn’t bother though after my experience) – I guess it all depends on what works for for someone. I love Tarte and I love it that you always have the low down! They are one of the few brands where I can wear the shimmer as well and talk about longevity. They must be very finely milled – not always the most strong in pigmentation but I don’t mind that. They go on like a dream and I can build them if need be. I do have all of their seasonal palettes (and other palettes) for this year except this one for QVC. I am on the fence. I believe in getting what you love because you will use it. (though I have enough Tarte to last through an apocalypse) :/ I’m hoping the color scheme won’t be too much like the others as well. Kind of waiting to see them swatched first.

Finally a set I like👍 I got last years one & loved it so I was hoping similar to that would come out & here it is. Haven’t been feeling Too Faced this year either, it seems everything they put out is just like last years one, not an Urban Decay fan but I did get the Buxom Hi Rollers palette & the LORAC pro palette so all is good.

  • Evelyn

I got mine yesterday and it is beautiful, the blushes are just gorgeous, auto delivery is the way to go!!!

  • Hanna

Hi Muse, I don’t understand how auto delivery works. Would I order the set now for $60 and then be billed $60 again in the spring for the second set automatically?

    • Isabella Muse

yup hanna. when the item ships in the Spring they’ll bill you. It’ll be new seasonal shades you get with each shipment!

      • Amara

I also had a question regarding the auto delivery. Will the spring set also contain the same amount of product just in different shades (ex. 2 blushes, 3 eyeliners, 2 palettes of 8, 3 lip products)??
