Urban Decay Full Frontal Lipstick Stash Set1

Urban Decay Full Frontal Lipstick Stash ($39) is a new Urban Decay Holiday 2014 Revolution Lipstick Gift Set that’s available for a limited time that includes six mini shades of Revolution Lipsticks as well as a 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencil in Ozone!

This is a fabulous set if you love the Revolution Lipstick formula because it includes three limited edition shades exclusive to this set. But it’s also nice if as a gift for someone who hasn’t yet tried the Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick formula!

The Urban Decay Full Frontal Lipstick Stash Set comes in a sturdy cardboard box that features six 0.035 miniature Revolution Lipsticks as well as a full size 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencil in Ozone (transparent, clear lip liner). What makes the box special is of course, they three limited edition, exclusive shades which are Ladyflower (bright rose-pink), Crush (inspired by one of Urban Decays most-coveted Super-Saturated Lip Color shades) and Illicit (sheer baby pink). The three other shades are Gash, Liar, and F-Bomb.

I think the set is a super value. You get six fabulous shades of Urban Revolution Lipstick and all are exactly spot on for the original formula. This deserves mentioning because sometimes the formula gets a little iffy on gift sets but there were absolutely no issues with this set. These are pigmented with full opaque color on a single application. The formula is creamy with a high sheen finish and a long wear of four to five hours. I will say the mini cases are a little hard to hold! They feel a little uncomfortable in my hand.

Ozone is a welcome addition to this set as shades like Gash can migrate a little. This is a clear transparent liner that will keep your colors in place easily!

I recently got this set from Ulta.com. Was a great deal because I had $$ in points to spend, so I had a BIG discount on it. I love the set, but my only problem with it was the box it came in. I thought I’d be able to take the foam insert out and store my UD eye pencils in it as the box has a magnetic closure. I thought it would be easy to find my UD pencils in a UD box! Tried to get the foam insert out but it wouldn’t budge. Tried to pry it off with a knife but there was so much glue it looked like the whole bottom would rip out. It would have been nice if this set came with a box that was reusable, as other lipstick mini sets from other brands have in the past (I keep some pencils in a box from a Buxom mini lipstick set I got a year or two ago). The UD box is for presentation purposes only, really not practical for space to keep the minis in it. I took the minis out and put them in a makeup bag where I keep all of my lipstick minis and put the pencil in a case where I keep my lip pencils and that was that!

hm interesting I didn’t even bother thinking about that cindy but assumed that when the minis were finished I’d just scoop the foam out, toss it, and store other stuff inside! kinda sucks it isn’t reusable!

I wish Ladyflower would become a part of the permanent collection, it’s divine!

I grabbed this during the UD 20% off sale, as I’ve never tried Revolution lipstick before. I’M IN LOVE! The wear time in great and it’s not heavy on my lips. I really love Ladyflower and Illicit (the two I’ve tried so far). I’d buy my sister this set if it wasn’t so red-heavy. She never wears anything red or bright, but I’ll definitely be looking into a full size tube or two of this formula!

they are fab lipsticks 😀 I like them almost as much as Too Faced La Cremes 😀

Thanks for the review! Which Urban Decay lipstick shades were your favorite from the full frontal set?

  • Phyrra

I love the new shades in this set. Also, Ozone is the best clear lipliner ever.

  • Ruth

I have the dumbest question, how big are they comparative to a normal lippie? is it like the buxom holiday size lippies?

  • Yelitza

Hi girl! crush revolution and F bomb makes u look all dolled up without adding a power shadow, with just a flick of eyeliner , Rawr! U take the city!:)

  • Kay

I’ve been waiting on the edge of my seat for these to release on the UK site and now they have, but I didn’t even realise Gash was LE! I was looking all over both sites like ‘Huh, she must be wrong, it’s not listed as a regular shade’. As I’m still using my last Gash (oh dear XD) from when it was The Iconic that’s just the deciding reason to scoop this up immediately so I have one in the new formula, right? I also nearly bought Liar full size, but why have one big one when I can get five cute little ones!

Great review and swatches, thank you!

    • Isabella Muse

fantastic glad they arrived kay -D It is indeed LE 🙁 or it is in the US anyway…! lol it’s a great excuse 😀 Glad you enjoyed the review Kay and have fun shopping!

      • Kay

To be honest I’m not sure it ever made it out in the UK, limited edition or not! I was only made aware it had been LE by following the link here to your review. I’ve ordered now, yay! And oops, that should have said *six! Best counting ever 😛

  • Holly

Is there any way you can post a pic of one in your hand? I’ve never gotten any sample size lippys and I’m curious just how small they are!
