ELF Good vs Evil Let the Drama Begin Beauty Book Review & Swatches
ELF Good vs Evil Let the Drama Begin Beauty Book is a new Disney Sleeping inspired eyeshadow and face palette that released for Fall 2014 and will be available for a limited time. ELF has been teaming up with Disney a lot lately as they released a Snow White Collection as well as a Little Mermaid Collection.
The ELF Good vs Evil Let the Drama Begin Beauty Book brings together Aurora from Sleeping Beauty as well as Maleficent in this new makeup palette!
The ELF Good vs Evil Let the Drama Begin Beauty Book is split down the middle with a day beauty and a night villain look for creating two different looks. You get a total of 12 eyeshadows, two lipglosses, an eyeliner, as well as a how to get the look guide. Unlike past Disney Beauty Book Palettes this set skip including blush or face products and concentrates more on eyes and lips. Technically you’re getting twice the amount of eyeshadow than you’d get it say the recently released Snow White Beauty Book Palette and at the same $10 price tag.
The palette includes:
Eyeshadows:
- Sunlight
- Innocence
- Briar Rose
- Sunbeam
- Forest Beauty
- Woodland
- Magic Spell
- Sorcery
- Evil Fairy
- Black Magic
- Hedge of Thorns
- Green Flames
Lipcolors:
- True Love’s KIss
- Betrayal
- Brightening Eyeliner Pencil in Wicked
Briar Rose, Forest Beauty, Innocence

Sorcery, Evil Fairy, Black Magic

Betrayal, True Love’s Kiss, Wicked
The nude, natural shades in the palette represents Aurora’s color palette with the sultry darker shades representing Maleficent. The shadows aren’t bad. They have a nice buttery texture but they tend to fade quickly and the darker shades blend out muddy sometimes but a shadow primer helps them wear long and vibrant. The eyeliner is a big miss as the formula is dry, tugs a good deal, and has a very dense formula that doesn’t smudge out well.
The two E.L.F. Lipglosses are fabulous. I’m always very pleased with the gloss formula that include in these sets as they are easy to apply and have excellent pigmentation with a nice hint of shine. Typically a single layer provides opaque color coverage.
All in all this was a nice set. Sometimes I’m disappointed with the Beauty Books but I think what I liked about this set is it concentrates on more shadows and less of the other items they typically include that I dislike such as the eyeshadow primer, lip and cheek pencils, etc…! Including more shadows made me like it a good deal more for sure.
