ELF Cosmetics Studio HD Mattifying Balm

Heads up E.L.F. Studio HD Mattifying Balm has launched online! This $6 mattifying balm is in the vein of products like Mally Face Defender, Covergirl Tru Magic Skin Perfector Mattifier, and the recent Revlon Photoready Balm!

Take a look!

E.L.F. Studio HD Mattifying Balm ($6) can be used over or under makeup and dabbed onto oily errors to mattify skin while blurring the appearance of pores and creating a flawless finish on skin. The clear balm has Vitamin E, Jojoba, Almond, and Grape to nourish skin.

I happen to love Mally’s formula but I’m always looking to try something new and hey, cheaper as this is only $6 bucks!

ELF Studio HD Mattifying Balm is available online now at www.eyeslipsface.com.

I already have this in my cart since it is 40% off!! LOL.

I wonder if this similar to Dr. Feel Good from Benefit? I love love love that for minimizing my pores–it is the oldest and still the best for my skin

Do you think it may be used to mattifying lipstick? cause I am looking for to mattifying lipsticks.

Icequeen, butting in here, but the best way to mattify a lipstick is to dab a tiny amount of HD powder over it, like MUFE, MAC’s or NARS. You can use your finger or a sponge wedge or sponge applicator. Just use the tiniest bit and dab it on. It doesn’t help me with wear time like a traditional matte, but it definitely looks matte. Takes the shine right down! 🙂

Oh I must try this- sounds like a perfect product for this oily face over here! 😉

Ordered yesterday….couldn’t pass up 40%off and I have wanted to try the Mally Defender but couldn’t justify the price! Can’t wait to see how it works as I’ve never liked touching up with pressed powder to reduce shine. I always feel it looks too powdery even with a light touch.

I tried it twice so far, once with my Urban Decay foundation (which I never need powder over) and once over my MAC BB cream (which I usually have some shine with by hour 6-7). Both days I wore no powder as I have normal to dry skin and I wanted to generate some oil to really see if it worked. Short answer is yes, it does. You really have to be careful though to not get too much on the sponge and apply only a small amount to shiny areas or you get an almost powdery, flaky residue from over-application. I don’t know if the Mally one is the same way or not, but judging from others comments on how long a container lasts, I would imagine so. It left my skin feeling velvety smooth but not flat-looking. Would it give all day shine control to someone with oily skin? I can’t tell. But for $6 (or less as ELF always runs good sales), give it a try.
