Lush First Snow Sparkling Dusting Powder

Snow isn’t on the horizon today but rain is however, Lush First Snow Sparkling Dusting Powder brings that magical feel of the first snow of the season to my desk today! With a sparkly, incredibly fragrant body powder that’s an absolute must have!

Love Lush Celebrate Body Lotion? Or Lush Champagne Snow Showers? You’ll adore the scent of Lush First Snow Sparkling Dusting Powder if that’s the case. This gorgeously scented powder comes housed in a small shampoo bottle (which makes it a mess to apply but more on that later) and smells so incredible it’ll warrant a back up purchase because sadly it’s available for a limited time with the Lush Holiday/Christmas 2014 Collection!

Lush mixes up a blend of sweet tart orange, cognac, and lime to create this sweet effervescent fragrance that smells like a champagne cocktail! It smells amazing, trust me! Those familiar with Lush will know the fragrance right away as it’s scented a good deal of Holiday favorite bath bombs, bubble bars, and other goodies over the years. Those who never tried it? Well you’re in for a treat.

This is a silky body powder that doubles up as a highlighter of sorts so you can dust it onto your décolletage, in your hair, on your arms and shoulders, anywhere you want a bit of sparkle. It does have a good deal of shimmer so use a little at a time (my swatches below I obviously over did it so you can see what it looks like). One of the nicest things about it is the fact that it’s highly fragranced so you get the gorgeous effervescent orange and lime fragrance on your skin all day as well as a twinkle of snow white shimmer!

I do find the packaging a bit of a pain to use and wish Lush would go back to the regular dusting powder jars they used to use. You can get a makeup puff if you have one (brand new of course) and sprinkle a little of this on it and proceed to pat onto your skin. I happen to collect vintage powder jars to I just took the entire bottle and dumped it into one of my powder jars and use a big fluffy puff to dust it onto my skin. You can also use a brush blush or larger fluffier brush to dust onto skin. Or you can purchase an inexpensive powder jar from places like Victorian Trading Company and dump the contents of the powder into it. It makes for a swoon worthy piece for your vanity plus it’s more practical to apply the powder from a jar like this.

Needless to say this one is Muse Approved. It smells incredible, adds pretty sparkle to skin, and oh did I say it smells amazing?! 🙂

It’s available now at Lush stores or online at www.lushusa.com.

Oooh definitely snagging this! Packaging is weird tho. Wonder why they changed it to a bottle…

I just bought this today! There is a new lush in a brand new amazing mall near my home and I went at kind of an odd hour so it wasn’t packed. I’m on a low product budget because I’m waiting for the sephora sale to pick up a “few things” that I couldnt get at the beauty.com and ulta sales. So I picked up bouche de noel, this powder, and the beachy salty hair sparay, (can’t think of the name). this podwer is a little more finely milled than some of the others and I like the subtle shimmer verse the full sparkle. I have a date Saturday night and definitely plan to sport it.

I love your reviews Muse, but I’m with you; I hate hate hate the Lush packaging for their powders. Who does that?! I want this one so bad but I promised myself after I cursed my way through a bottle of The Greench that I would never buy a “bottle” of powder again. I may have to rethink this…
