Lush Santa’s Lip Scrub Review
Lush Santa’s Lip Scrub makes a return for a limited time with the Lush Christmas/Holiday 2014 Collection.
This delicious cola flavored lip scrub is soooo tasty and has tiny little edible red hearts in the mix! Hmm better for Valentine’s Day me thinks? But needless to say perfect for Winter when my lips are at their driest.
Lush Santa’s Lip Scrub comes housed in a glass jar and has a light effervescent cola taste! This is made with chunky caster sugar and can be used to exfoliate drier lips. Simply take a small amount out of the jar using your finger and gently scrub your lips. You can wipe off the excess or lick it off should you want as it’s tasty and edible! It does have a little but of a cherry cola taste and that would be because it does in fact contain cherries and dates!
I don’t actually like Lush Lip Scrubs unless I add extra oil to them because they are very chunky and dry so they have a tendency to fall off in chunks as I scrub. It’s a messy way to exfoliate your lips as there isn’t really a base holding the scrub together. You can redeem this by mixing a little of the scrub with Rosebud Salve or a little Vaseline however, you don’t want to consume either of those products so scrubbing and wiping off excess is highly recommended. You can also get a little coconut oil and add it to the scrub to loosen it up further!
The formula actually works great at exfoliating lips and giving them an extra soft feel but the chunks flying around are bothersome and messy so I look for ways to improve the formula and in most cases end up mixing the scrub with something else.
Lush Santa’s Lip Scrub is ideal for getting dry, crack lips nice and soft with a very tasty flavor but he is a little messy to use so I do suggest using him along with another lip product to make for less clean up!
