MAC Objects of Affection Pigments Set

I always said you can never have too many piggie vials. And the new MAC Objects of Affection Pigment Set gifts you with four Gold and Beige Pigments as well as some festive glitter to create some gorgeous Holiday looks!

Take a peek!

MAC Objects of Affection Pigments

I’m one of those people that has TOO many MAC Pigments. I’m also one of those people that doesn’t use them as nearly as much as I should. That’s why I kinda really dig when MAC puts out Holiday Pigment Vials as they are considerably smaller in size and I feel less pressed to use them as the larger sizes have enough pigment to last you to infinity and beyond.

MAC Objects of Affection Pigment Set

The MAC Objects of Affection Pigment Set is available in 4 limited edition color variations for $35 each containing four pigment vials (0.09 oz) and one glitter vial (0.14 oz). At this price you’re getting a nice amount of product and variety compared to what you’d normally pay for say three single full size shades from MAC. Plus they come in smaller sizes making them easier to use up because lord knows I have a hard time using up pigments. On the downside the vials can be a little bit of a chore to use at times and can be a little messy compared to the permanent size jars which have a wider mouth making it easier to dip my brush in.

Pigments can be fun to use if you’re a loose shadow fan but they can also be messy and have considerably fall out at times to. I have hit or miss success with MAC Pigments as some are chunky and difficult to apply without fall out where as others are finely milled and easier to apply with minimal fall out. Either way they are always super pigmented, very sparkly, long lasting, and beautiful on eyes or of course, for any other way you’d like to use them as they product isn’t limited to eye use.

I got the MAC Objects of Affection Pigment Set in the Gold + Beige selection and absolutely adored it! The colors truly are lovely in this set and all work beautifully together to create some lovely, dramatic looks for the season. This is the set you want if you like warmer eye looks as it contains some nice shades of gold, brown, and taupe. Please keep in mind that the Gold Glitter cannot be used on your eyes as it is not eye safe according to MAC.

One of my favorite shades in this box is Lithe. It’s a gorgeous nude that reflects light golden beige! It has a silky formula that blends easily on lids. Deep Brown is another shade that’s very pretty. It’s matte with a fine milled texture that applies easily and creates a nice smoked out eye look. English Gilt and Pretty It Up are a little chunkier in texture but still manage to create beautiful foiled eye looks with a metallic-like finish! These two shades you’ll experience the most fall out with as they are considerably more flaky when compared to the other two shades in this set.

The set comes housed in a plastic sparkly box with a Victorian cameo gracing the front. The case is nice to store smaller makeup items inside and are quite well made and completely reusable once your pigments are removed or used up.

All in all I was very pleased with the MAC Objects of Affection Pigment Set! Sure, there’s some fall out to deal with here but if you’re ok with that you’ll be delighted with the gorgeous shades, excellent pigment, and dramatic looks you’ll be able to create with this beautiful gift set.

I didn’t know you can’t use the gold glitter on your eye lids. Can you use the glitter color in the other sets on your eye lids? I really want the pink pigment set.

I don’t have the other sets Melissa so not sure, you have to read the insert or back of the box. Some MAC Glitters are eye safe and others are no, the gold is not an eye safe shade unfortunately. Hope this helps!
