Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar & Nail Lacquer Set

I recently indulged in two of the Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar & Nail Lacquer Sets that are on sale at Sephora.com. Great steal here as each Lip Tar & Nail Lacquer Set was originally $22.50 but they were on sale for $15 and after applying my 20% Rouge Discount I got them for $12 each. Lip Tars are $18 each and Nail Lacquers are $10 each and I ended up up paying $6 for each product so it was quite a nice little sale.

Let’s take a look!

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar Nail Lacquer Set

The Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar & Nail Lacquer Sets were created in six different color selections featuring drag performed Detox, William, Vicky Vox, America Pie, and Nip/Tuck. Each set includes a full size Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar, lip brush for application, and matching Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Nail Lacquer.

I’m not much of a nail girl but I’ve become suddenly obsessed with the Lip Tar formula and this seemed a cheap way to get more shades and it was indeed a great way to ’em!

The nail formula was a nice thin consistency that applies without streaks and delivers full opacity in three layers. I’ve been wearing the color NSFW on my toes for the past week and it hasn’t chipped!

But of course, the real star of the show in these sets for me was the Lip Tars. I’m finding out that Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar’s formula seems to vary from shade to shade each time I try it. Some are sheer, some are super pigmented (like these!), some are runny, some thicker, others more glossy, some more matte…it really does vary. These shades are mega pigmented which shocked me as so far I’ve ventured into lighter shades in the Lip Tar formula so both Grandma and NSFW came as a shock! Both are opaque on a single application with a vibrant color pay off and a long wear of five hours. Wear time seems to also a factor that varies from shade to shade because both these shades were incredibly long wearing for me versus lighter shades I own that have a shorter wear time. Both have more of a satiny set with a bit of sheen versus the matte finish they market these as and that’s perfectly fine for me as I have drier lips and prefer satins to mattes! They apply smooth and once set do not migrate of feather around my lip line. NSFW stains crazily so well after wearing away my lips are super red! Beware if you apply NSFW using your fingers as it will stain your fingers as well. These are very thick with a runny consistency and a light peppermint flavor and fragrance.

All in all this is kinda a new experience with the Lip Tar formula for me as I hadn’t yet experienced the incredible pigmentation these are known for in other shades I purchased!

Needless to say the Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar & Nail Lacquer Sets were a great value and I’m happy I grabbed them up.

Two of the shade selections I featured in this post are available now at Sephora.com should you wish to indulge.
