Bliss Micro Magic Spa-Powered Microdermabrasion Treatment

Winter’s here so products like Bliss Micro Magic Spa-Powered Microdermabrasion Treatment are essential for a dry, flaky complexion! I must say I have dry skin but I can’t exfoliate it often as that does more bad than good.

BUT…I do like to sit down and do a once a week scrub to remove flakes, soften up skin, and just to whisk away dry skin and Bliss Micro Magic Spa-Powered Microdermabrasion Treatment is one of those perfect deep scrubs to really get my skin super smooth!

Bliss Micro Magic Spa-Powered Microdermabrasion Treatment is formulated with fine grains of volcanic pumice suspended in a thick, creamy scrub. Dare I say it feels like I’ve given myself a chemical peel after I’ve used it as man it really goes deep. I think the texture could be potentially too much for those prone to redness or even just general sensitive users but also there’s peppermint oil in this which can be equally upsetting to certain skin types. It does contain aloe as well as a mushroom extract with apparent calms skin. But this is a very powerful scrub so sensitive users beware!

Personally my skin is so achingly dry at times it doesn’t mind a harsher, grainier facial scrub. To use this simply apply a quarter size amount on your face and gently massage. The scrub kinda does the work for you so use as little pressure as possible when massaging it on. Work it in for a minute (or less if you’re sensitive) and proceed to rinse. It has a really lovely fresh peppermint fragrance and since it contains peppermint oil after you’ll get a cooling sensation on your skin well after rinsing.

I feel a little tight after using this so I apply argan oil after drying off. My skin is SUPER smooth after using it. It does a heck of a good job if you use it on your nose as well if you have blackheads in this area you can use the scrub around your nose and follow up with a Biore Nose Strip. This loosens the blackheads and makes it easier for the nose strip to yank them out!

If you have oily or combination skin you might be able to get away with using it twice a week and it should do a great job not only softening your skin but whisking away oil as well!

Sigh. We’re heading into dry, flaky winter skin season for me. But I think my skin is too sensitive for this. I wish it could just tell me what it needs. Should I go harsher? Less intense? Scrubs don’t really help with the flakes and moisturizing without exfoliating isn’t enough. Do I need a Clarisonic? I’m so confused.

I love products that give a cooling sensation but I’m not a fan of peppermint scents… Apart from the smell this peeling sounds rather nice though.
