Lush Montalbano Shampoo Bar Review

Lush Montalbano

Lush Montalbano Shampoo Bar is one of several new Lush Shampoo Bars that recently launched in the UK and hopefully will be available in the US for the Spring 2015 season!

If your hair is in need of some serious shine the Lush Montalbano Shampoo Bar will serve you well!

Lush Montalbano Shampoo Bar is crated with rosemary absolute for cleansing and sicilian lemon oil as well as freshly squeeze lemon juicy giving it a bright, tart lemon-y fragrance.

Unfortunately, Lush Montalbano does contain Sodium Lauryl Sulfate! So if you’re avoid SLS in your products this won’t be a great pick for you!

If you’ve never used a shampoo bar you’re in for a treat! Just wet your hair in the shower, wet your shampoo bar, swipe the bar across your hair a few times, work into a lather, and rinse! Done! Sparkling clean hair. The great thing about shampoo bars is they are so travel friendly and the TSA won’t give you a hard time when you travel with one as they are solid, no liquids here.

Lush Montalbano leaves my hair smelling lemon-y fresh with a slight sweetness. It rinses clean away, doesn’t dry my already dry hair out, and doesn’t cause build up. I didn’t really see the shine factor that Lush promises but one can hope with continued use I’ll haves shiny locks!

I love lemon shampoo of any kind so this is a treat! Aside from shine and cleansing this formula doesn’t promise much else but it is nice a light and rinses away easily without drying out my scalp or hair.

Do like!

It’s available now at lush.com and will hopefully launch in the US shortly!

I purchased this item.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. I would love to try this, but I’m kind of scared! I really liked the Lush shampoo bar that I used to have (discontinued now, think it was called Hybrid), but I was allergic to something in it. It caused the most painful cystic acne on my hairline at my neck and on and back! I just thought I was having some acne issues, but when I finished the bar and had to use a different shampoo for a week or so before I could go buy a new one, the acne disappeared, only to return when I was able to buy a new shampoo bar. My hair loved that shampoo, and I’d really like to try a new one, but I don’t know which ingredient made me break out. It was so painful that I am actually really careful about buying products at Lush now.

Hi muse, I’m a big fan of the ultimate shine and jumping Juniper shampoo bars. They are the best for travel. In fact I just washed my hair with the ultimate shine not five minutes ago. I have one question for you, I know you said it rinses clean but do you have any idea if it might be good for fine hair and that gets oily after a day? If you have an opinion on that I’d love to hear it. Happy new year.

Hi Jill! How are you? I’m sorry I didn’t test it on a hair type like that. My own hair is very thick and drier. I didn’t experience an oiliness if that helps!? but my hair is never oily 🙁 I’m sorry! Happy New Year!

Hi, I was just wondering if this product gave your hair an orangish-tinge, because I really want to try a hair lightening product but I’m scared of my hair becoming orangish as it has happened to my friends, thanks x
