Lush Yog Nog Soap Gets a Muse Approval!

When I set out to review Lush Yog Nog Soap I was thinking I’d hate it! Much to my surprise I’m absolutely delighted by Lush Yog Nog Soap and thinking of ways to stash it away as this Lush Holiday 2014 release is available for a limited time this Christmas season!

Oh no!

Lush Yog Nog Soap intrigued but didn’t interest me as Lush spokes of ylang yland and clove and the first think that entered my head was, “Gee, how does ylang ylang and clove go together? This can’t be good…” But somehow, someway they created a very interesting, uniquely scented soap.

Now…before we talk fragrance let’s talk texture! This is one of Lush’s softer soaps and past soaps like Sexy Peel and Sultana of Soap comes to mind. This one is soft and has a slightly squishy texture to it. It lathers up like a dream in the shower. Once hot water hits this delicious soap it creates mounds of creamy, moisturizing lather. It feels heavenly on my drier skin and quite luscious!

Now the smell…oh the smell. Some people will fall in love with this, like I did, others might not like it. To me it has a creamy Egg Nog like fragrance with a dash of gingerbread and cocoa. The first time I sniffed it I thought of a crunchy gingerbread cookie falling into a cold, creamy glass of Egg Nog. Weird? Probably! But somehow it works. It’s actually dusted with real cocoa but only a very small hint of that cocoa comes into the fragrance so don’t expect this to smell like chocolate. It’s slightly spicy, warm, and quite comforting which makes it a perfect Christmas-y scented soap!

Do I love it?

Why, yes, I do.

I’d highly recommend checking it out. At first sniff it might not be a love but give a chance it really grows on your nose!
