Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay Tinted Pressed Finishing Powder

Tarte Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay Tinted Pressed Finishing Powder is launching with the Tarte Spring 2015 Makeup Collection and is a new tinted version of the original Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay Pressed Finishing Powder.

Take a look!

Tarte released Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay Finishing Powder last year in a transparent shade if you recall. This year they reformulated the powder and will be launching a Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay Pressed Finishing Powder in several shades.

The original version came with a brush but this new version comes with a thin rubber sponge. I actually found I can wear it wet or dry thanks to the sponge. Dry, it’s a finely milled, silky powder that will even out skin tone, set makeup, and mattify skin. It wears well on my drier skin! It’s a bit powdery but that doesn’t translate to the finish at all. It has a smooth, even appearance and doesn’t cling to drier areas. For the most part it’s fairly transparent but there’s enough tint here to even out skin tone and if you’re one for lighter, more natural makeup wear you can easily use it as a lightweight foundation. It’s pigmented enough to conceal minor redness, dark spots, and of course, it’ll smooth and minimize the appearance of pores.

Wet, it’s even better. I wet the rubber sponge it comes with and apply it as a light foundation. I find it has a bit more pigment when applied wet so you can easily double up and use it as a light foundation product. It has a matte finish used dry but feels more satiny when applied wet. It sets within a few seconds when applied wet and has a nice even finish that softens the look of your complexion while brightening and easing dullness.

If you’re in the market for a new setting powder, Tarte Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay Tinted Pressed Finishing Powder makes for a nice multitasking one that performs a few duties with one formula.

Likey!

It’ll be available shortly at Sephora, Sephora.com, Ulta, Ulta.com, and at tarte.com.

Keep checking Tarte and Sephora’s websites for the spring 2015 products. I’m thinking they’ll be available after the Christmas holidays. I was so looking forward to seeing them on December 15th. Oh well! I guess I can wait another week or so. LOL.

Isabella (love that name), I was just going to post the same thing. LOL. I ordered the new powder brush and one of the new shades in the liquid foundation on Sephora’s website and the blush and finishing powder on Ulta’s website. Waiting to see the new shades in the airbrush powder foundation. Also ordered four of the new Real Techinques brushes from Ulta. So far I like all the RT brushes I have. They’re better than some expensive brushes I have and they don’t shed!
