Becca Under Eye Brightening Corrector Review & Swatches
Anyone who can use Becca Under Eye Brightening Corrector ($29) and look amazing has my utter respect and adoration. I’m simply not worthy of your greatness. I’ve been playing with Becca Under Eye Brightening Corrector for about three weeks and I can’t get this product to work for the life of me. I look incredibly bad every single time I apply it.
Becca Under Eye Brightening Corrector is marketed as a full coverage creme corrector. Let me tell you if you apply this as full coverage, you’re going to be ready for Halloween! Either that or you’ll glow in the dark!
In theory and from looking at promo images Under Eye Brightening Corrector sounds incredible. The promo images make it look like a salmon or lightly pink cream that can be used to brighten up your eye area. You can either use it alone under eyes or on under your concealer to correct dark circles and brighten up eyes according to Becca. It comes in a really cute glass jar with a rose gold lid. At first glance this is a creamy pale pink, honestly, I’d liken the shade to a slightly lighter version of calamine lotion. It looks fairly normal in the pot but after swatching and most importantly applying you’ll run into issues or at least I did. The problem isn’t with the formula as this has a nice creamy texture that blends easily enough under eyes. The problem stems from the fact it has light reflecting shimmer that has a luminous finish that looks frosty under eyes. You might do well contouring with this, you might do well if you have younger eyes, but if you have finer or deeper lines and a drier under eye area it’s a nightmare in my opinion. A little goes a very long way as too much and you’ll literally look all kinds of glow-y.

I wouldn’t call say it brightens but it does glow and shimmer and sparkle. It actually makes my puffiness, finer lines, and lighter dark circles look even more prominent and accentuates my problem areas rather than conceal or brighten them up! It also creases into fine lines terribly so I have all this glow-y cakey cream under my eyes. Eep! Becca Under Eye Brightening Corrector is the type of product that you’re going to really love or really hate. I fall into the hate group. This is just too shimmery for me (or Becca) to recommend for use under eyes. I feel like it makes my finer lines and puffiness look worst instead of better! I don’t like applying anything sparkly or shimmer UNDER my eyes so this is a big no for me. I imagine some might like this but I think it takes a practice to get just the right amount into place without over doing things so if you do purchase beware that a little goes a very long way!
