CC Airbrush Perfecting Powder1

It Cosmetics CC+ Airbrush Perfecting Powder is a new Your Skin But Better lighting setting powder that’s launching with the It Cosmetics January QVC Today’s Special Value on the 19th of this month!

I know you’re probably thinking this is a retake on It Cosmetics Celebration Powder but actually, I liked it considerably more!

Take a look!

It Cosmetics CC Airbrush Perfecting Powder

It Cosmetics CC+ Airbrush Perfecting Powder is a sheer to full coverage optical blurring finishing veil according to the brand. It comes housed in a round compact that features a full size mirror and the powder located on the top with a compartment underneath that housed a rubber sponge for application.

It Cosmetics Celebration Foundation Illumination
it contains “drops of light technology” that act to blur the appearance of fine lines while brightening the skin. Also like, Celebration Foundation Illumination it’s neither luminous or glowy in finish.

I find Celebration is a bit dry on me and it ends up clinging to drier areas. CC+ Airbrush Perfecting Powder is considerably more powdery but also applies with a more even, smoother, and softer semi-matte finish that could qualify as demi-matte since it doesn’t make my drier skin look flat or mask-like after applied. It is marketed as a hydrating powder but I wouldn’t necessarily call it that but it isn’t dry either and creates a very smooth appearance on my drier skin. It’s one of those powders that will look amazing if you have visible pores as it’s guaranteed to blur their appearance due to the thicker texture of the powder.

It Cosmetics CC+ Airbrush Perfecting Powder Swatches (Light)

I find the texture runs powdery but it’s very smooth and velvety so powdery doesn’t translate to chalkiness. It’ll do well mattifying oily skin and won’t cling to drier skin while offering a brighter, refined finish. The wear time varies but I can get at least six hours of wear either as a setting or foundation powder.

It kinda has a dual formula as it’s easy enough to dust on as a setting powder but it can be applied heavily and is pigmented enough to act as a lightweight foundation on its own should you like to use it as such.

If you like Celebration I’m betting It Cosmetics CC+ Airbrush Perfecting Powder will be a love. The textures are a little different between but they have a lot of the same great benefits! On the plus side if you dislike Celebration, I have a funny feel you’ll like Airbrush Perfecting Powder this time around as it is a better formulated powder for those of us that are drier.

It Cosmetics CC+ Airbrush Perfecting Powder will be available in the It Cosmetics New Year, Your Most Beautiful You Set launching January 19th as a QVC Today’s Special Value on QVC.com.

Does the color of this new powder look more like the regular celebration foundation or the illuminated version? I ask because in one version I am a medium and the other in light, but I can use both with no problem b

    • Isabella Muse

I think the light in this powder is a little warmer, almost with peach undertones. Not exactly a dupe for the original celebration or the illuminated one!

  • Nicole

I was under the impression this was a more sheer coverage press powder that was more color correcting than pigmented. Am I correct or did I misunderstand what I had heard?

    • Isabella Muse

as per my review it’s either used as a sheer setting powder or can be used as a lightweight foundation. Hope this helps!

Oh dear!!! I swear this cracked rib has cracked some part of my brain too! 😜 I see it as clear as day in your review now that I have made myself look like a doorknob… Did I mention I am on day 11 of the flu as well? 😷 Just ignore what I say for a few days and hopefully my brain will be back to full speed by then. 😁
By the way, Happy New Year Isabella! 🎇

        • Isabella Muse

no problem at all! Hope the review helps! oh sorry to hear it. Just getting over a really bad cold myself. It’s the worst! makes you feel so weak and blah! feel better soon! happy new year!

          • Nicole

Thank you Isabella, hoping you are back to 100% very soon too! 💐
I am recovering, weak and a cracked rib are never a good combonation, but I am on the mend. Well, the rib will take another 6 weeks or so, but oh well, it could always be worse. 😊
The review is fantastic! Can’t wait for for your reviews on the rest of the products in the TSV! 😃

          • Isabella Muse

thanks! I’m getting there 🙂 wow…! sorry to hear 🙁 take it nice and easy! aw thanks <3! upcoming shortly on the rest 😀

  • girbeautytips

i tried there cc cream it was ok but the smell ohhh not good
    what about this .?

    • Isabella Muse

me neither, I have a love hate relationship with celebration. This is a nicer texture, it’s powdery, but it doesn’t cling to drier areas and has a soft focused finish. I like it a lot more than Celebration that’s for sure 🙂

  • Karen Kordonowy

Does the new powder come in fair? You mentioned that the light is a warmer toned powder and I’m definitely a cool toned person so warm tones don’t work for me.

    • Isabella Muse

no sorry, as far as I know there isn’t an item number yet as soon as I have a price for the set and an item number I’ll post.

  • Lisa Johnson

Isabella, could you ask IT if the eye products and airbrush powder uses the same formulation as the CC cream? I am highly allergic to their CC cream right now (and the veil) due to their use of citrus products which aren’t very good for skin anyways. Can you find out?

    • Isabella Muse

I believe so Lisa, I posted the box with the ingredients on the post for the eye cream. Hope this helps.

  • Amber

I can’t wait to get mine! It looks beautiful! 🙂 Thanks for the great review.

  • Andee

Was wondering about the medium shade.Have you seen it yet? I wear golden medium in Bare Escentuals.

  • new

i just go a new Celebration Foundation. I swirl the brush and hardly any powder get picked up. Did I get a defective product? I emailed the company but they never go back to me.

  • ellen

I love this product but cannot find it anywhere. Originally part of a set from QVC but no more can be found. I am using the “light”. Cannot even find on the IT site. HELP

    • Nicole

      Hi Ellen! 👋
Unfortunately, the IT Cosmetics CC+ Airbrushing Perfecting Powder has not launched as a separate product yet as far as I can see, as with some other products in that kit, but I did see the concealer from the kit has become available separaty so maybe in the near future it will become available! I would email IT Cosmetics and see if they have a release date or an estimated date that you can expect to start seeing it sold as a separate product. ☺️
