Dr. Jart Ceramidin Lipair Lip Balm

Dr. Jart Ceramidin Lipair ($15) arrives just in time for Winter where my lips chapped and at their driest. As a fan of Dr. Jart’s incredible Ceramidin Skincare I was happy to see them extend the collection to include a new moisturizing ceramide lip balm to hydrate lips.

Take a looK!

Dr. Jart Ceramidin Lipair

Available in Pure (fragrance and flavor free) and Mint (hint of mint) versions Dr. Jart Ceramidin Lipair is a ceramide rich lip balm that contains babassu seed oil, avocado oil, jojoba seed oil, coconut oil, and pomegranate seed oil.

Ceramides are natural lipids that hydrate and help retain moisture. This lip balm is rich in ceramides that help to restore your natural moisture barrier while helping to seal in moisture so lips are smooth, soft, and more hydrated.

These are a simple, lightweight lip balm. They applied on lips leaving behind a slight sheen and a balmy texture sans color. The Mint version is unusual as it tastes more citrus-y to me than mint but it does feel very refreshing and slightly cool on my lips as I apply it. At first application the formula feels very simple with a balmy texture that feels lightly hydrating on my lips. It’s through the longer wear you’ll notice the difference in your lips! It’s actually an interesting balm because it’s not something that fades quickly nor is it a texture that feels waxy so you want it off right away. I can sit around for five hours without it going anywhere…! During that time I don’t necessarily feel like my lips are hydrated but as it wears away you’ll find your lips are much more softer. I started using it a few days ago when my lips were somewhat dry and quite flaky. Now a few days later my lips are softer, smoother, and well on their way to being normal for once!

So the formula is quite effective at not only fighting dryness but also at treating dryness!

For the dry ladies and lads out there a big yay for Dr. Jart Ceramidin Lipair! This one is effective at getting dry lips back on the path of smoothness!

Available now at Sephora and Sephora.com.

I was super curious when I saw these at Sephora the other day! I love the Dr. Jart’s Ceramidin line but I was a bit apprehensive of these, only because I adore my nuxe lip balm and I tend to stick with a simple nivea milk & honey balm for day times…but this review has piqued my curiosity enough for me to give them a shot! I’m definitely going to pick up the fragrance free version! This winter weather has been terrible for my skin T__T

Thanks as always for the review, Muse!

I really like the nivea balm too! it’s great 😀 I don’t feel like these are hydrating as I wear them but they are obviously treating my lips because within a few days my lips are so much softer and smoother! oh my pleasure 🙂

I’m actually interested in trying the mint one out. I have really dry lips and I need something for just the daytime and I’ve tried everything else I can. I do like a few others for the day, but they come in a pot and I have to dip my fingers in them 😡 So a stick would be nice! I like Jack Black, but I don’t feel like his products have been working for me lately 🙁

    Thanks for the review!

I am a lip balm junkie! I have every one you could possibly buy. I prefer tasty ones BUT I always go back to Blistex. Not the one like a lipstick but the tube you squeeze out.

I got this tip from my mom and her friends years ago in my early teens. I noticed even the smoking women had no lines around their lips. I really think it’s why I don’t have any at my age which is much older than, I think, any of you are.

My friends always have commented about that and they all have that tube next to their bed now. I smear it above my lips as well. Of course, you can’t be doing that right at bedtime with a man there, haha. But later for sure. I buy the fun tasting ones for daytime when I’m home with no lipstick on.
