Foreo Issa Toothbrush

Foreo has introduced a new Issa Toothbrush to their beauty tool line up for Spring 2015.

I love gadgets! I always find it exciting when my love of gadgets mixes in with my love of beauty. Granted, toothbrushes don’t sound particularly glamorous but they still do fall into the realms of beauty as they are something you use daily to “beautify” yourself in some way!

Take a look at this interesting toothbrush!

The Foreo Issa Toothbrush doesn’t come cheap kids! This one sets you back $199! Or the smaller one is available for $119.

It uses a new gentle silicone technology and pulsations to get your teeth nice and clean. This has soft silicone bristles that aren’t super scratchy so you aren’t damaging tooth enamel. The soft silicone combines with the gentle pulsations effectively remove stains and plaque in a more gentle way than your traditional toothbrush.

The brush head has 3D flexibility so you can really reach around your teeth for a deeper clean! The brush also has a timer which works a lot like the Clarisonic by signaling you every 30 seconds and alerting you to move onto a new area of your mouth.

A single charge of the brush will last you six months of use and brush heads need to be replaced yearly. There’s also eigh different pulsation speeds to choose from and the brush is waterproof for in shower use (I happen to be one of those weird people that brushes their teeth in the shower! My best friend says it’s totally a guy thing to do…oh well! Works for me!).

As interesting as the brush sounds I’m not sure I could justify the $200 price tag but you know what? My Phillips Electronic Toothbrush was $99 so this isn’t too far from the price!

Do you think you’d try something like this?

Do share!

The Foreo Issa Toothbrush is available now at Sephora.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. well this looks interesting … I love trying new dental anything but the price on this makes me want to wait and add it to my Christmas wish list 🙂

    • Isabella Muse

haha does that make us weird? bc I love new dental stuff too! 😀 Me too, maybe wait or the Sephora FF so I can get it 20 off!

      • Paige

one thing to consider in the price is brush head replacement cost, i don’t know what the forea is but mine currently sets me back around 30 – 50 and they get worn out pretty quickly. plus you would be saving on electricity.

I love my Foreo Luna so this should do for my teeth what the former does for my face? LOL I’m never going to give up my regular electronic brushes and delicious and comforting (I’m probably weirder than you are) toothpaste, but I’d like to own one of these just because I like gadgets too.

    • Isabella Muse

apparently?! 😀 I’m curious seems such a weird way to brush your teeth! oh me too, all about the gadgets 😀

Hmmm I’ll ask my dentist about this one! If you think about it, brush heads often cost $15 or so and you are supposed to replace them at least every three months (my sonicare ones start to look too haggard after 2, though…). If you really only need to replace the head after a year, $199 is a pretty good price!

    • Isabella Muse

true!!!!!!!!! i typically buy the heads in a bulk at costco but it’s still costly! 🙂

  • Pamela

Are you kidding me? I’m on it! I love my Foreo Luna and this toothbrush sounds great!

    • Nat

LOLZ that’s what I was thinking…”this shape and colour, and the texture look reaaaaaaally familiar…” XD

I’m going to wait to see what dentists have to say about this. The bristle-ish bits look like they might be too big to get between teeth, which could mean more time spent flossing. I don’t think I’d like that trade off.

    • Kristen

Toothbrush bristles actually don’t get between your teeth and flossing is still the only effective way to clean between your teeth. No toothbrush will ever replace flossing. I am curious as to how this feels on the teeth though.

  • Eilla

I use the mini one. The regular one is just way too big for my mouth and I always prefer smaller toothbrushes. I know some people had complained that it won’t clean in between their teeth but I am a floss user and I don’t think a normal toothbrush really cleans in between the teeth anyways. I do find it cleans like normal toothbrush even when I use the Sensodyne toothpaste.
