Lipstick Queen Bete Noir Possessed Lipstick

Go a little daring and dark with Lipstick Queen Bete Noir Possessed Lipstick for Spring 2015! These new black cherry lipstick shades give lips a flush of sultriness!

“I was inspired by the dark sensuality within us all when creating these three beautiful takes on black cherry lips. They’re glamorous, intriguing and yet with no hint of goth about them thanks to the warm, blackberry tone of these dark, midnight shades. This seductive collection will bring drama and intensity to your lips so get ready to embrace your dark side!” – Poppy King, Lipstick Queen Founder.

Honestly, when I think Spring I think nude lips but these gorgeous shades do so tempt me. Available in three flattering blackberry shades these lipsticks provide a silky, wet look to lips with a crush of forest fruit shades on lips. Creamy, intense, and opaque the deep shades have moisture rich oils to ensure lips are soft and comfortable through the wear. The burnished, shimmery finish adds texture and richness to the gorgeous bitten berry shades.

Shades:

  • Metal (mesmerizing shimmering berry)
  • Intense (deep decadent blackberry)
  • Sheer (sheer forest fruits)

Honestly, these are very tempting particularly the shade Metal which is a stunning little shade of berry red!

I think I wants!

Lipstick Queen Bete Noir Possessed Lipstick ($40) is available now at Ulta and Ulta.com.

I want the sheer one but am convincing myself it’s like something I already have.

Wow, I just realized that they’re $40 a tube… I thought it would be a set. I love LQ but lately she’s getting really out of hand with pricing these special collections. Otherwise I’d buy the Sheer in a heartbeat.

I just looked up several swatches of these, and they all seem to run pretty sheer, at least in comparison to what they look like in the tube… Honestly, I can find better among my Revlon stash, and at 1/4 of the cost. Also, I can’t figure out why these are 2X the amount of the other lippies from the brand…

Every time I see these posted somewhere I have a deep intense urge to buy all 3 of them… until I look at the price again. Lipstick Queen’s products are great and I’m not a stranger to shelling out big bucks for makeup but I’m really hating the current trend in the industry of doubling prices on LE colors or new formulas. Sure, tack on $5 or something for your new luxe formula, but I seriously hesitate to spend an extra $20.

I love me some berry lips, but at $40, this is more expensive than YSL, Guerlain, NARS, and approaching Tom Ford at $50. And I’d wish this debuted in the fall/winter rather than spring. I have the OCC lip tar in Black Dahlia and will be mixing some shades to see if I can duplicate.

No hint of goth? Is she nuts? Because my outward goth just jumped at this page with grabby hands! OMG these look gorgeous. I wish these were packaged in a set together because I’d buy it instantly. Gonna have to keep an eye on the Q and see if they get a package deal on these. Because $40 a pop is out of my price range. I really thought it was for all three. Goth tears 🙁

If you can’t check these out in-person, definitely check out some of the swatches/reviews floating around… I was excited for these-even at $40 a pop-until I saw how sheer & pink they all are… That’s what made me cry goth tears… I can get better with Revlon!

LOL Amy. With all these tears, I fear we’re turning Emo 😉
I did check swatches as you suggested and I agree with you. Pretty, but nothing I can’t find much cheaper. Imma go listen to The Cure now…

so glad I decided to check out the reviews first. But am torn now between goth tears of sadness and laughter. 😉
