About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I did not know Covergirl was coming out with brushes! I hope they are good quality.

I LOVE the Wet N Wild lipsticks!! For $.99 they are awesome. I bought 2 in the deeper shades. I’ve been using the Black Orchid every day since I bought it. I think they have a decent wear time and the formula is quite good for the price. They are much better than the original lipsticks. Some of the colors go more towards a matte consistency and other have some shimmer/pearl to them. The CoverGirl brushes are just a re-launch of the original Makeup Masters. I don’t think there was an eyeshadow brush of any kind originally.

I looked at several stores for the Olay clear skin spot and couldn’t find it. I need something that will work and work fast!!!!! Have you tried this or anything else that works ???

PBI. Melissa, Clean and Clear makes a similar product. Same type of tube packaging. I used it for years and it works pretty well at diminishing the size and redness. It won’t make it disappear though. My tried and true HG acne product is La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo. I will seriosuly die if they ever stop making it. Using it now 3 years plus and its a game changer. Pricey but worth it. Sometimes my zits DO disappear overnight with it.

The only spot treatment I’ve ever used that literally works overnight is Paula’s Choice BHA 9. It’s pricey but I’ve used on every type of blemish (including cystic pimples)in the evening and by morning it’s gone.

The IMAN eye shadows look very interesting. Wonder if the Covergirl brushes will be any good–they’ll be competing with EcoTools and Real Techniques, which already make very affordable, decent brushes

Cover Girl is doing brushes…? What sorcery is this?!?! I’m weirdly excited to try them! LOL
