Pretty Little Japanese Makeup

japanese makeup

There are quite a few pretty little Japanese makeup and beauty bits and bobs launching in Japan this Spring that I can’t wait to get my hands on.

Here are some that are especially gorgeous, take a look!

Jill Stuart Blush
For Spring 2015, Jill Stuart will release two new shades of Mixed Blush in Rose Candy and Cemelia Drop! These are pretty shades of blushing pink to brighten up cheeks with a semi-matte flush of color in a cute silver compact with an attached blush for application!

Jill Stuart Matte Chiffon Lips
Matte lips are somethings a rarity in Japan as typically lipsticks are formulated with a light yet glossy texture in Japan but not the new Matte Chiffon Lips from Jill Stuart! These creamy lipsticks have a bright matte finish with a hydrating formula that brings a pop of color and gorgeous matte to lips without being dry!

Les Merveilleuses Laduree Eyeshadow Palette
A three shadow palette with a pretty pearlescene shadow selection!

Les Merveilleuses Laduree Powder Cheek Color
A five shade selection of new blushes in candy-like shades that leave a soft focus glow on cheeks!

Shiseido Maquillage Dramatic Mood Veil
Use this shimmering square to add color and a highlighted effect to cheeks for a luminous flush!

Many online shops are starting to launch Japanese Spring 2015 Makeup Collections! You can check my Where To Buy Korean and Japanese Makeup & Skincare for the best shops to find these and more great Asian makeup and beauty products!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I always love the packaging. I wish more brands were available in the US with such girly get-up.

If you think those are cute, you should check out Pupa Milano’s beauty kits and archive of fanciful packaging, ranging from carousels to matryoshka dolls!

yeah I have a few pupa kits from back in the day 🙂 the angel, the devil, and a few others!

OMG, I just googled it. So glad these aren’t sold here, my bank account would be empty! Totally irresistible

Most of the Asian makeup I got, except from one HG foundation powder (Covermark Asia Moisture Veil, Muse, it is too good) were meh. Packaging is very attractive, but so far, not much luck… I have some Jill Stuart, it’s ok. Lots of things are very shimmery… I don’t know what to try next !

I just had my parents pick up the Les Merveilleuses Ladurée Fards a Joue Rose a Petal Blush from Sephora Paris. I’m seriously in love with it. It’s just a regular blush, and the pigmentation is buildable, but it’s more about the experience of swirling my brush into the rose petals, which also smell amazing. Now I kind of want this new blush from them, too. 😉

i haven’t technically used mine LU 😀 I realized it would completely sheer but when it first launched I absolutely had to have it hehe! It’s been on my vanity every since…! I really want the new ones now too!

The new ones from Les Merveilleuses Ladurée Fards when do the release them? I want to get my hands on it but not pay an arm a leg and 2 kidneys : )

    • Isabella Muse

the first week of March they launch in department stores in Japan so give it until mid march to start seeing them in online stores.

I read that you know about flushing. I too live in NY, Astoria to be exact. Would China town carry the Les Merveilleuses Ladurée Fards, or any other place that you can think of that I can either drive to or take the train to? The beauty of living in NYC is the multi-culture stuff that you can get your hands on : )

    • Isabella Muse

haha everyone in New York knows where Flushing is right? I hope?! 😀 Nope, no where in NY you can buy the Les Merveilleuses Ladurée makeup unfortunately 🙁 That one is an online only purchase sadness! You can buy Jill Stuart at the flagship store in Soho though if that’s any help!

What is the price point? Im sure it cannot be $98 for thr blush that comes in the shape of a rose : (

        • Isabella Muse

around $120 Maria for the Face Color Rose, the cameo blushes are about $90-$99, and the cream blushes are around $92. The blush petals are sold desperately from the casing so you can refill it for a little less than you originally paid for the total blush. Obviously the prices are inflated in the US though so you might find the face color rose marked up as high as $140!

OMG! Why is it so darn expensive? That’s like 2 ambient light blush pallets and a lipstick lol
