So – these are supposed to be layered over your regular shadow to give it a metallic shine?

Either way, metallics and I are not good company… except for crazy wild eyeliners… I will do metallic, or bright, or whatever eyeliner. It’s my sole crazy color that I will wear!

    • Isabella Muse

no they are actually eyeshadows, you don’t have to layer at all! You can of course, entirely up to you, but they are cream shadows that have a shimmery/metallic finish.

Can’t wait to see your swatches. Do you think this is something one can get away with during the day for work or too metallic? I like Milan & Florence. Haven’t seen them I the stores yet but I saw a bunch of unopened cardboard boxes on the floor in CVS cosmetics area so they could be a part of that display. I feel like a cosmetics stalker.

    • Isabella Muse

I tried them and they are WAY shimmery. Not sure if they are work friendly. depends on your environment I guess! 🙂 I noticed them at walgreens so check there too!

Muse, what do you think of these? I was so looking forward to these – let’s face it they’re gorgeous- but pretty much every review I’ve seen of these, they are apparently a fail. I guess they are so creamy that they don’t ever dry (or set) and they easily crease after a few hours. I was still planning on maybe getting the bronze quad just to layer over other shadows for some shimmer but I’m still on the fence considering the price.

    • Isabella Muse

i don’t really have thoughts yet carol. I’m still testing them! But I’ll review shortly and let ya know! So far I’ve only swatched them but haven’t worn so it’s hard to say just from that alone ya know? 🙂

      • Carol

Thanks! I’ll look forward to your thoughts. I haven’t seen these in stores yet anyway so I still have time to decide. I really want to like them but I’m trying not to buy stuff unless I know it’s decent.

        • Isabella Muse

should have a review up shortly Carol so you can decide 🙂 they look so pretty it’s hard to resist but can understand how you feel, my makeup stash is overwhelming at times :-/

I have these in milan and rome. So far I am loving them. I like sheering them out for a hint of sparkle and brighten up my eyes but I also layer them for an ombre effect or to darken my crease and outer corner. I’m 28 and work with finances/investment and find that as long as I dont over do it or make it look like they are painted on they can be work place friendly. Ive also gotten quite a few comments from their sparkle and shine. 🙂 HTH

I want to see swatches. This brand is hard to find in my state. A K-Mart 2.5 hours away sells this brand. Remember buying an eye shadow palette in college that had awesome color payoff for a drugstore brand, recommended by Allure of course. These look like similar quality to Lancôme. I want all of them!

I wasn’t a fan of these at all. They swatched nicely but were super glittery. Within an hour my face had glitter all over it and my eyelids were a greasy, creasy mess. I have really dry skin so that doesn’t happen often. I actually threw them away!

  • Lisa

I was excited to find these at CVS. I purchased one of the neutral palettes, but it was a total fail. They are way too glittery. I’m in my early 30’s and too old for glitter. I actually returned these.

I’m very interested to hear what combos of primers, epoxies, etc. are working well with these quads. I have the purple set and am experimenting with methods of application (Q-tips, sponge brush applicators) as well as ways to set them. Not such great luck thus far.

    • Isabella Muse

honestly, they DO NOT set at all haha! I’ve been using them in a variety of ways too! Review upcoming 😀
