Tarte Exquisite LipSurgence Liquid Lip Shine Review & Swatches
Tarte Exquisite LipSurgence Liquid Lip Shine is a new shade of Lipsurgence Lipgloss that’s launching with the new Tarte Miracles from the Amazon Collection which is a six piece set that will be available tomorrow the QVC Today’s Special Value.
Just to avoid some confusion there are Lipsurgence Lipglosses and now apparently there are Lipsurgence Liquid Lip Shines. In my experience with both formulas, I’d say they are the same just for some reason newly named? I will say that last few Lipsurgence Lipglosses have been considerably pigmented so that might be the cause for the rename as this shade also is quite nicely pigmented! None the less both have the same textures and formulas.
Let’s take a look at the shade Exquisite!
Tarte Exquisite LipSurgence Liquid Lip Shine is a very fitting shade and goes well with the Tarte Be Your Own Tarteist Amazonian Clay Eye & Cheek Palette also included in the Tarte Miracles from the Amazon Set.

The unfortunate part about the shade is it is exclusive to the set so if you don’t buy the set you can’t get the gloss…! But Tarte does seem to have a knack for releasing the shades and products from a QVC set later down the road so if you don’t order the set at this point there’s still hope you can get this shade later on in your makeup life.
Tarte launched the Lipsurgence Lipgloss Collection for Summer 2015 in eight permanent shades. Now it’s apparently renamed (or reformulated?! But it feels the same to me!) and called Tarte LipSurgence Liquid Lip Shine.
The formula is a bit tacky yet lightweight and has a nice solid wear of four hours with a glossy shine. The color Exquisite is a cream sans any sparkle or glitter and a pretty shade of berry mauve. It has a sort of vanilla taste and fragrance that I find pleasant enough. As I mentioned above, I think this formula is considerably more pigmented than the original shades! That translates well in my photo below. It’s nice and glossy but also quite colorful as well with a plush, soft finish that comfortably on my drier lips!
The last few shades that Tarte released in the Lipsurgence gloss line have been excellent including the Park Ave Princess shade that just recently launched a few months ago. I’m happy to add Exquisite to my collection and actually have hopes we’ll see more shades as pigmented as this as we head into Summer 2015!
