Bare Minerals Pop of Passion Lip balm

Bare Minerals Pop of Passion Lip Oil-Balm ($16) eight shade selection of tinted lip balms that give a flush of color to lips with a hint of shine and hydration. I’m a lover of Bare Minerals Loud & Clear Lip Sheers so when I saw the new Pop of Passion Lip Oil-Balms I was quite excited. Loud & Sheer’s formula is a lot less pigmented with a moist, shiny natural hint of color! I love them but I have to admit Pop of Passion does it even better.

Take a look!

Bare Minerals Pop of Passion Lip Oil Balms

Bare Minerals Pop of Passion Lip Oil-Balm come housed in a colorful little floral barrel that houses 0.11 oz of lip balm. The formula is a little bit of a multitasker as it offers up sheer color, a hint of shine, while providing nice moisture to drier lips.

Bare Minerals Pop of Passion Lip Oil-Balm Swatches (Nude Passion, Peach Passion, Rose Passion)

I purchased three Bare Minerals Pop of Passion Lip Oil-Balm and all three shades I got were great MLBB (my lips but better) colors that gave a nice layer of sheer color, a tiny bit of shine, and plenty of moisture. The formula is enriched with passion fruit seed oil which gives these a very soft balmy consistency. They aren’t heavy and they feel quite light and lovely on lips. I wouldn’t say they were deeply hydrating but they manage to add moisture to keep moisture on my lips through the three hour wear. Pigmentation is pretty sheer but its enough color to keep me happy on days I don’t want a completely bare lip but want something that’s sheer, pretty, and natural looking. They have no flavor or fragrance for those sensitive to such issues.

Application is breezy! I wouldn’t say they feeling like a lip oil or have a melty consistency as marketed but they are a soft, buttery texture that glides onto lips easily! I have drier lips that can be a little flaky and these applied flawlessly and didn’t stick or adhere to the dryness of my lips. They looked plush, even, and very pretty. They have a little shininess initially but I think as they set it becomes sort of a sheen and not so much a shine or glossiness.

I don’t often reapply my lipstick and gloss as the day progresses. Perhaps it’s me being lazy? Perhaps I’m just too busy? I dunno! However, I do like to take out a lip balm and reapply it often to not only add moisture but also a little hint of color. These are ideal for situations like that.

I’m really into natural looks lately! Natural shades of color for eyes, lips, and cheeks and the colors I picked up all give me a really natural yet healthy lip look!

All in all the Bare Minerals Pop of Passion Lip-Oil Balm is a very nice formula. I’d say even better than the Loud & Clear Lip Sheers which I happen to love. Nice moisture, nice color, and a fair wear makes them a nice way to get natural, sheer color on lips without a ton of drama. This is a formula that’s ideal for those who are minimalists in the makeup wearing department!

Loves ’em!

I bought Plumberry Pop about a week ago. I like it a lot. I also love the Loud & Clear lip sheers. This one stains my lips a bit so it lasts all day. Very moisturizing too.

why does nude passion & peach looked pink on you? I thought it’s more of peach?

    • Isabella Muse

they are sheer so my natural lip color is going to make them look more pink as my lips are pinker.

I bought the tsv and I wish I could say I loved the color in it but unfortunately, my lips must have been a little flaky that day so the color was uneven. I took it off and did a lip scrub and then put it on and it was alright then but I wasn’t super excited by the formula. The color was a nice color though. I should also say that other glosses, balms and whatever didn’t apply like that. I had used a balm the day before and it looked fine.

I got Pink Passion to try…I like the color and the feel on my lips, but I guess I thought there might be a tiny bit more shine than I got. Not bad, but I guess I am just a gloss girl at heart! 🙂

I love these. I treated myself as a celebration for a new job, and got the rose and the plumberry. The rose is exactly what I’d want as a MLBB shade, but it looks warmer on me than on you, and the plumberry is a really pretty plum pink that leaves a lovely stain behind.
