About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I just got Cargo’s Let’s Meet in Paris and love all the smoky shades! I am paletted-out at the moment (also bought the new Balm Voyage despite not wanting it at all but was in need of cheering up LOL) so I will skip this. Love the packaging, though.

To me, this palette is boring! I have absolutely no desire to own it. The new Lorac palettes however, those look exciting to me!

Wow, love this palette! The shades look to be on the cooler side, which is right up my alley!! Love this!!

Hmmm…doesn’t look very enticing to me, even though I love shimmer shadows. It actually looks very pale and boring. Being that I already own Let’s Meet in Paris, Vintage Escape, Shanghai Nights and I just purchased Northern Lights, I was looking forward to something new for the spring from Cargo. But for some reason The Essentials palette and the new Summer in the City are not very inviting. Bummer. I am looking forward to seeing their reviews though.

Just a clarification for all re: where this palette is available as it is definitely not an ULTA exclusive. It is also available @ & @ I’m not certain about kohls stores but I’d say it’s worth a look if you’re interested.
Hope the additional info is helpful!

Oh my goodness do I LOVE this palette. The colors are so gorgeous and pigmented with only the top far right color being slightly “dusty” (for lack of a better term). I wore some of the bronzier colors to a wedding this weekend with the orangey rust color in the crease. SO beautiful. I didn’t even bother with taking a matte from another palette. It was all either shimmer or sheen and I got multiple compliments on my eyeshadow all afternoon and evening. Not only that but they held up very well through an outdoor wedding in 100° heat. I had nothing smudged or out of place even 7 hours later. Anywho, if you are contemplating picking it up AND you like shimmer and sheen, I really think you will like it. BTW I have light/medium skin with golden undertones…not sure if that matters but I thought I would throw it out there 😉
