E.L.F. Snow and Ice Icicle Face Palette Review & Swatches

E.L.F. Snow and Ice Icicle Face Palette

The E.L.F. Snow and Ice Icicle Face Palette ($6.99) is one of several, limited edition products launching with the E.L.F. Cosmetics Frozen Elsa Makeup Collection. As you might have noticed from a few my past posts E.L.F. has really gone all out with Elsa’s Collection. They are apparently doing things a lot differently this time and instead of launching items in sets they are doing cuter, individually palettes and makeup products.

Let’s take a look at the E.L.F. Snow and Ice Icicle Face Palette!

The E.L.F. Snow and Ice Icicle Face Palette contains a highlighter, blush, and bronzer that comes housed in a white plastic compact featuring a cameo of Elsa on the profile. It’s quite cute and visually it looks like it’ll create a really nice bronze-y peach luminous glow on cheeks.

It deserves to be mentioned there have been past sets like the Snow White Face Collection that was a little smidge cheaper and included a brush. That also had really cute art work on the compact! It’s not a huge difference in price but I think it’s interesting to see where E.L.F. was with this Disney Collections and where they are going with them.

As I mentioned above the Snow and Ice Icicle Face Palette is visually really pretty. It contains a brassy golden bronzer, a soft shimmering peach blush, and a creamy beige highlighter. The texture of the bronzer is soft and velvety but it does have a knack for clinging to drier areas on my face. The blush which drew me to the palette initially is very, very, very sheer! It’s quite silky but sadly it doesn’t show up on my face no matter how much I build. And finally the highlighter is quite powdery but it blends nicely but it’s a bit too pasty for use on my skin even as a highlighter so I started using it on my brow bone to brighten up my eyes and that works great!

Mmmm…it’s cute sure but the formula isn’t anything to write home about! I’m just a mush, like I’m sure many of you are, for anything Disney themed! I do think E.L.F. is making some good strides at approving the packaging on these Disney releases as much of their art was going to the outer packaging. It’s nice to see they are finally extending that to the actual products!

I’m looking forward to seeing what the future brings.

The E.L.F. Snow and Ice Icicle Face Palette is available now exclusively at Walgreens.

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. I bought this last week and have worn it a few times. The blush is very sheer, hardly shows up at all. But the bronzer and highlighter are at least decent so I feel like I didn’t waste my money. I just wish they would’ve made the blush darker!

same for me! I love the color but doesn’t show at all. highlighter was ok for brow bone work for me and the bronzer mmm iffy as it clung to dry patches! still cute though!? 🙂

I picked this up because I had looked everywhere for the holiday ELF contour palette and never got it. This one is meh. Kind of too shiney and gold a bronzer for me. The blush is okay but I have like a million better peach blushes. I might play with it a while and then give it to a friend. I’d give it a C+.

Just a heads up Muse, the Elsa collection is now on Drugstore.com! I already picked up my Elsa beauty book and the train case. Plus they have 20% off cosmetics so that brought the price down.
