Hard Candy Sheer Envy Eye Brightening Concealer2

Hard Candy Sheer Envy Eye Brightening Concealer ($6) is one I can use at the moment after one too many late nights and hey, for $6 bucks maybe it’ll replace my $42 YSL Touche Eclat. Uh yeah, that’s not going to happen but a girl can dream.

Hard Candy Sheer Envy Eye Brightening Concealer feels like a rerun in my makeup life as I have this strong sense of deja vu about it. It seems like something Hard Candy released in another life but repackaged?! I’m not sure why I feel that way but yeah…!

Take a look!

Hard Candy Sheer Envy Eye Brightening Concealer

Anyway, Sheer Envy Eye Brightening Concealer is part of Hard Candy’s Spring/Summer 2015 line up and comes in three shades which are Radiance, Light, and Medium. Not everyone is going to be able to take advantage of these shades as they all run rather super light. I picked up Medium and it’s more of a fair so yeah, the color selection is slightly off.

This comes in a click pen with an attached brush for application. You can twist the base and the concealer will run gently into the brush. I realize some people are put off by these brushes due to bacteria and I can totally relate especially since you’re using it near your eyes. But I have come to some peace with them and actually do like them!

The formula promises a host of t0 beauty benefits including:

  • Reducing Puffiness
  • Diffusing Shadows
  • Softening Wrinkles
  • Evening Skintone
  • Eliminating Dark Circles
  • Blurring Lines
  • Brightening
  • Concealing
  • Correcting
  • Lifting

They really did a stupendous job with the formula and texture of this product. It’s soft, it’s creamy, it hydrating, and it blends super easily. It’s such a shame the color is so pasty on me as I could probably get away with this for quickie concealer jobs when running errands or when I’m not doing a full face of makeup. It brightens very nicely but the product runs very sheer so if you have a lot to conceal under your eyes this isn’t going to do the trick. It will however, make a nice companion product to use on top of your favorite concealer to add a little brightening should you like. The formula didn’t crease into my finer lines nor did it cake however, it does wear for a shorter time on its own at around three hours before fading.

This might be good if you don’t have dark circles and your eyes are younger as it’ll brighten up and conceal very minor issues. However, older eyes, finely lined ones, and those with darker circles might not love the sheerer coverage it provides.

Unfortunately, the Hard Candy Sheer Envy Eye Brightening Concealer has a poorer shade range which won’t fit many skin tones. This kinda makes it a fail. However, those who do fit into the range might just enjoy this for quickie concealing jobs or more natural ones or as a companion to your favorite concealer or even as a touch up product to stash away in your makeup bag!

Hard Candy Sheer Envy Eye Brightening Concealer is available now at Walmart and Walmart.com.

Finally, pasty skin works in my favor! 😉 You mentioned that these are brightening, but would you also say these are illuminating (a la YSL’s)? I have really dark circles that require some good ol’ It Cosmetics action, but I’ve been wanting to layer something else on top.

not this one heather but there is a radiance one which is indeed illuminating 🙂 that can double up as a highlighter!

I hear the WNW coverall concealer is the bomb. But yeah pasty works for me too.

    Hi,
I bought this product yesterday. So far its holding up okay, it is not a full coverage concealer at all. Super smooth, but very sheer. The colors are very off right? i thought it was just me being Latina, and a weird shade of yellow. I am definitely sticking with the GLAMOUFLAGE one, made by Hard Candy too. That one even covers tattoos.
The product is great for pre-teens, who are barley starting to wear makeup. I would highly recommend it for my 8th grade students or Freshman girls. (I am a teacher)
Thank You for your Blog Muse!!!

Hi Sam! Yes! Colors are very, very off. I like Glamouflage myself and was so happy when they extended the shade range! I agree, it’s nice for younger eyes but for me? Nope! 😀 Cool! but 8th graders must be a handful right? 😀 Aw my pleasure Sam, thank you for reading it!
