NYC New York Color Cosmetics Expert Last Lip Lacquer Review & Swatches

Currently I’m in love with NYC New York Color Cosmetics Expert Last Lip Lacquer ($3.99) and questioning why I have never tried them before this!?

Expert Last Lip Lacquer is a liquid lip lacquer that launches about a year ago in several sahdes to the NYC New York Color Cosmetics permanent collection. More recently a few new shades for Spring 2015 launched which is one reason I’ve taken slight notice of them.

If you haven’t tried these yet, trust me, you need them!

NYC New York Color Cosmetics Expert Last Lip Lacquer is one of those cheap thrill products that makes you do a little fist pump! At $3.99 each these are really a nice little liquid lipstick style formula.

Expert Last Lip Lacquer weight in at 0.12 oz and will set you back $3.99 per shade at your local drugstore. These have a sponge tipped applicator and a slightly fruity sweet scent and flavor. The flavor and fragrance are nice to my nose and mouth but I could see it being potentially irritating to sensitive users.

NYC New York Color Cosmetics Expert Last Lip Lacquer Swatches (Bare Brooklyn, Rockaway Ruby, Turtle Bay Toffee, Tribeca Mocha)

These have a thinner texture but excellent opaque pigmentation on a single swipe. They kinda have a hybrid formula with the texture of a gloss but not necessarily the shine and the color pay off a lipstick. I find the texture interesting as it starts off slightly glossy but sets to a bit more satiny on my lips. They aren’t dry, they are soul sucking moisture from my lips, but they aren’t hydrating either which is fine as they wear lightweight and comfortably without looking dry or cracked through the four hour wear time.

Lacquer probably is misleading in the name as I didn’t think these were super shiny but they still look incredible on my lips none the less. The pigment comes as a surprise as one doesn’t expect to pay $4 for a lipgloss and get such great pigmentation from it.

If you’re a beauty budget I’d recommend checking these out! They wear comfortably, have great color pay off, and give lips a really nice sophisticated pop of color!
