About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. I got this during the VIB sale…the colors are pretty and bright which I like…
BUT…they do have a lot of fallout unfortunately…a primer is a must!
I will keep playing with different brushes and eyeshadow primers…but this may be a return for me :/

i took her for a walk around ulta the other day and put her back! maybe for the better?? will you be reviewing her, muse?

I didn’t get it. I was tempted but ended up putting it down! 🙂

I bought this too and like all the Anastasia Beverly Hills eyeshadow palettes I’ve had and tried (Catwalk, Amrezy, Maya Mia, Tamanna), it’s disappointing. Once again, I got suckered it by all those purples.

Muse-I can’t wait to hear your review because maybe I am doing something wrong. I too bought mine during the VIB because of all the hype and tried to duplicate the look on the posters and used the Orange You Fancy and Punch Fuschia then added the Unicorn because I couldn’t get any deep pigment. I tried to build color but couldn’t get anything substantial. I used my smashbox 24hr primer and also experienced a lot of fallout with the orange color. This is my first experience with this brand so I can’t wait to see your review and application as I just couldn’t get the “pop” I was looking for. Not sure if my UD primers would have made any difference.

I ended up skipping Adrienne 🙁 sorry you had so many issues! Makes me glad I didn’t bother picking this one up!

I got this. Mine has really good pigmentation except for the Blue Velvet color. That one is underpigmented and patchy. It can be worked with, but it’s irritating. The shadows are a little powdery, with Buttery being the worst for me. It’s not excessive, though. I think it’s a good palette, but not an outstanding one. The new MUFE palettes are leagues better.

Hey gals and Muse, I’ve “hauled” all the new palettes that have come out recently from Kat Von D, MUFE, Lancome, Tarte, Laura Mercier, ect. And I purchased this one. It’s so misleading because it looks so intensely pigmented and buttery in photos and it swatches pretty well but it doesn’t apply well without a primer, there’s tons of fall out and even with a primer it doesn’t last long. I tried it for about a week and returned it. Even if the price point is fantastic, I don’t think it’s of quality. I would recommend the MUFE palette or the UD Electric one over this one.

It is really difficult to get the Anastasia palettes in Australia, but it seems I am not missing much. I have read so many average reviews about their eye shadow palettes. Some colours great, most having problems with fall out, lack of pigmentation, too powdery etc. Like Stila’s recent offerings, this is a good one to miss.

This keeps tempting me but. . .nope. Not gonna do it. It’s such a shame because the colors! The colors! That orange! That purple! That yellow! And they’re mixed with soft easy to wear colors (that rose! that taupe-y beige!) AND some lovely deeper shades (that green! that aubergine!). It could have been amazing but alas, nope. It’s such a shame because I’ve heard such great things about their singles. I have been a fan since the Brow Powder Duos debut (oh the joy of cool ashy brow product!) so this kinda bums me out. Oh well, more money for other stuff, haha! XD
