About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. soo gorgeous!! i wish the prices were a bit more reasonable but i am very temptd to pick up the palette, the almost nude lip gloss, and one of the blush/bronzers. my wallet is crying just thinking about it lol!

  • Michele

I’m disappointed in the amount of shimmer in the shadows considering BB is known for matte eyeshadows. I want to try the blush bronzer duo though.

  • SusanT

Hey, Muse! Before I forget, Daisy sends much love & kitty kisses. I bought the Pink Gold Shimmer lipstick. Though it’s a beautiful color, I ended up taking it back because the shimmer was a gritty glitter and I can’t stand that feeling on my lips. You’d think with so many lipsticks on the market doing shimmer successfully, I’m disappointed with Bobbi putting gritty glitter in her lipstick. Extremely disappointing.

    • Isabella Muse

nuzzles back! 😀 How are you Susan? Oh no sorry girl! 🙁 I wanted the shimmer lippies but might avoid now 🙁

  • Rachel R.

Nice palette, but I went with the new MUFE Nude palette. The second blush duo is really pretty.

  • Mithila

I love Bobbi Brown… but the photoshop in this ad just KILLS me.

    • Trina

OH MY GOSH!! I was thinking the same exact thing!! It looks sooo bad/weird I cant get over it rofl.

The nude line does look really nice though!

    • Christina

I was about to comment the same thing!!! WTF, if they have to photoshop, at least do it well.

    • Nat

Agreed, Mathila. I wish the picture ended at her shoulder – that decolletage is a little redonk. 😀

Also, BB fooled me once last year with the Surf palette – I won’t be fooled again! XD

    • Ann

LOL. I have to agree. i had to do a double take when I noticed something was off

  • Ashley

Horrible side boobs of Kate Upton-who is gorgeous btw. But this picture makes her boobs look huge- like not real at all, and she is considered a plus size model?!

  • Emily

Maybe it’s just me, but I feel like the BB summer collection is always the same stuff. That palette looks like a bigger version of the nude beach-themed sand whatever palette there was last summer :/

  • Amy

The Shimmering Sands Palette reminds me a lot of the Make Up For Ever Nude Artist Palette.

  • Judy

I love the eyeshadow palette but I feel the same, somehow this ad just puts me off :s

  • CupK8

I just *love* nude and brown and bronze eyeshadows so much.. I already have so many of them, this would be overkill, but they’re gooorgeous.

  • Mary Beth

I hope the eyeshadow formula of this palette is better than that of Bobbi’s recent palettes :-/

  • dia

I had read that Kate Upton is a 34DDD, so, given a good push up bra, what we see here doesn’t necessarily have to be photoshopped (maybe a little airbrushed).

  • Genevieve

Looks like a great palette for warm toned complexions. Love the mix of matte and shimmer. Very pretty.

  • Deborah

The nude colors are all so similar. I wonder if they will really look any different from each other on the eye.

  • Lee-Anne

Picked up the palette at the weekend when I had a consult at my local BB counter. Tried to resist it as don’t really need and have regretted last couple a bit but the white sand sparkle seduced me! However after a few days wearing I think I am glad I went for this – been building up some nice lighter eyes. I have really pale blue eyes and the shades work really well on me. I really like the bottom row especially the Black Sand Sparkle (which is also nice along the lower lash line).

Suntan is the only truly matt shade in the whole palette and unusually there is no really dark pigmented coulour like a black or dark brown that you can use as a liner but as I have plenty of that already and happy that is missing from the palette. The Black Scotch gel liner will go well with this I think.

I also tried on the brown shimmer lipstick above and really liked – said I wasn’t going to get another lipstick either but it was very nice on – however I went straight out for the evening after the consult and when i reapplied the lipstick they had given me the beige shimmer gold instead 🙁 Can’t take back now I have used!!
