Clinique Even Better Brightening Moisture Mask

Clinique Even Better Brightening Moisture Mask ($36) gets added to the Even Better Brightening Skincare Collection family this Spring with a formula that promises to hydrate and ease dullness so that skin looks smoother, feels softer, and has a more brighter, luminous finish!

I’m ALL ABOUT facial masks. Particularly sheet facial masks which I use two or three times a week! Face masks are such a great way to give duller skin a pick me up during the week. It’s just nice to come home on Monday, throw on a face mask because your face is looking all tired and dull, and sitting around watching Game of Thrones while it does all the hard work at revitalizing your tired skin.

Plus when you wake up Tuesday morning you look like you spent the day at a spa!

I’ve been using Clinique Even Better Brightening Moisture Mask for a few weeks, here are my thoughts!

Clinique Even Better Brightening Moisture Mask relies mostly on moisture to ease dullness and brighten skin but not so much ingredients. Honestly, you have to be amazed at what a little extra moisture can do for tired, duller skin.

For example, my skin looks lackluster and dull at the end of the day. I do a few things to perk it up! A face sheet mask, followed by either Dr. Jart Ceramidin Liquid or Hada Labo Replenishing Hydrator does the trick at adding much needed moisture and almost instantly bringing back radiance to my skin! So yeah, a little moisture goes a long way at easing dullness.

For me Clinique Even Better Brightening Moisture Mask relies on hydration in order to brighten. I wouldn’t say this visibly treats your complexion so with constant use you won’t notice dark areas lightened nor will it brighten skin with daily use. This is more an “in the moment” mask which will add moisture to skin and therefore you’ll find your skin looks and appears brighter and smoother for a few hours after use.

Actually for me the mask doesn’t technically do much for my complexion until the next day! I know! Weird right? To use the mask simply apply a thin, even layer on your face and wait for 15 to 20 minutes. Lay back, watch Game of Thrones, catch the latest episode of Supernatural, and wait for the magic…or not….in my case after I remove the mask I don’t notice a change. It’s only the next day I can visibly see a difference.

After 20 minutes tissue the mask gently off and splash with water. The mask is pretty creamy and thick and you’ll find it doesn’t wash completely away without scrubbing. To break the mask down after you tissue it off you can rub it into your skin and proceed to rinse after. I feel like I still have a film over my face after rinsing so I just massage and pat my face until it absorbs. My face feels nicely hydrated after but as I said I don’t see a major difference until the next day. Typically I apply this later in the evening and prior to bed. In the morning, my face does in fact look not only smoother but quite a good deal brighter and not dull or lackluster! I’ve used it twice a week for nearly a month and so far it really does make my dry, dehydrated complexion look perky and smooth again.

Like I said, this isn’t a treatment mask so don’t expect it to lighten dark spots or whiten/brighten skin permanently. It will however, add much needed moisture and that in turn will ease dullness and give skin a smoother, healthier appearance!

If your skin is dull and dry you might want to check out Clinique Even Better Brightening Moisture Mask to give you a little pick me up!

Is it always the case where “brightening” is code for “glitter”? It just looks like glitter lotion to me
