Maybelline 100 Years Baby Lips Limited Edition Collection

Maybelline 100 Years Baby Lips Limited Edition Collection

Maybelline 100 Years Baby Lips Limited Edition Collection is a new, limited edition packaged range of Baby Lips Lip Balm available in four shade selections in the regular Baby Lips line as well as the Baby Lips Crystal Lip Balm.

I imagine this is just one of the collections to come celebrating Maybelline’s 100 Year Anniversary because as of now they even have a website set up at maybelline.com/100 so I suspect you’ll see more displays and collections like this as we head deeper into Summer!

Maybelline 100 Years Baby Lips Limited Edition

Maybelline 100 Years Limited Edition Baby Lips

This collection consists of four shades of Maybelline Baby Lips in Crystal Kiss, Peach Kiss, Fuchsia Fix, and Ra-Ra-Red. I know for a fact Crystal Kiss is still available in the Crystal Lip Balm range and Peach Kiss is available in the regular Baby Lips Collection. Fuchsia Fix and Ra-Ra-Red sound familiar to me but I don’t personally own them! They may be repromoted shades or they may have already launched in the past as limited edition colors! I’m actually having a mental block with those two shades so fee free to share if you have or already tried those two.

The packaging on these is limited edition and features a New York city scene against a black backdrop. I’m not a Maybelline collector myself but for those that do collect the brand you might likely want to haul some of these. I’m not a Baby Lips fan girl to be honest but they do have a cult following so I can see these 100 Year Anniversary ones being coveted by makeup lovers.

What do you think of this collection?

Honestly, I wish they had done all limited edition shades not just limited edition packaging! It would have made the collection a little more special. I’m not looking forward to a bunch of displays that are upcoming which feature permanent shades simply repackaged so I have hopes we’ll see something new and exciting as we head deeper into the season.

Ra-Ra Red and Fuschia Fix are definitely new. Ra-Ra Red looks more pigmented than much of the Baby Lips line, which appeals to me. I happen to love them for a bit of jacked-up lip balm treatment.

great because I thought I was going crazy…! I was like ummm two are def not new but not sure I’ve seen the other two 😀

  • Brian

When I saw this post, I immediately went “I need these” LOL I think this Crystal Kiss looks more pink and pearly compared to the regular Crystal Kiss. The swatches look different in your Baby Lips Crystals original post too. Peach Kiss from the permanent line is also shimmery and more peachy nude and not nearly as orangey peach as this one.

I wonder why Maybelline is using the same names though!

    • Isabella Muse

hm you could be right Brian! I’m going home tonight to swatch side by side! I didn’t bother checking in all honesty as I didn’t have a chance to compare!

      • Brian

I am definitely hoping to find a display near me to pick up Ra Ra Red and Fuchsia Fix! Let us know if they are similar? 🙂

  • Maria

These look very nice. I like the red and fuschia colors. I hope they are not too sheer.

  • Simone

I agree with Brian. Peach kiss def looks different from the one I have, but I suppose that could just be from our skin tones and lighting and whatnot. Hopefully it is different though and I can add it to my ridiculous collection lol!

I personally haven’t heard of Fuschia fix or RaRa Red. They will be mine!!

hey muse, i see you’ve swatched the two shades and labeled them as Crystal Kiss and Peach Kiss. But upon zooming in, the name on the package says Peach Kiss and RaRa Red…?

  • Vanessa

I think you swatched RA RA red and peach kiss from the packaging…..

  • Carol G

I agree Muse, I’m not a huge Baby Lips fan, but I might try the RaRa Red just for kicks. Also hoping they do some cool LE stuff for their 100 anniversary.

  • julie

hey muse, i think you swatched ra-ra red and peach kiss (in that order), not peach and crystal. just wanted to let you know. but i’m kind of liking the look of ra-ra red though.

    • Isabella Muse

yup! sorry about that! Little off this month! apologies 🙂

  • warpaintny17

Hi muse, thanks for the swatches! Ra-Ra Red and Fuchsia Fix look especially pretty!I may be wrong, but in the first picture (the one where the purchased baby lips are still in the packaging) it seems to me that you purchased Peach Kiss and Ra-Ra Red. But when you swatched them side by side, they are labeled Crystal Kiss and Peach Kiss? Again, I may be wrong but I think that you may have mixed up the swatches/ names of the products. Thanks again for the swatches! I might pick up Ra-Ra Red and Fuchsia Fix!

    • Isabella Muse

that’s correct sorry! I’ve been off my game and noticed 🙂 thanks for letting me know, will edit and fix shortly!!!!!!!!!! ;-D my pleasure!

  • Jess

I think maybe you have your swatches mislabeled, and that’s why the colors look different to some people. Judging from what’s written on the packaging in the photos above the swatch photos, you’ve got ra-ra-red (first swatch) and peach kiss (second swatch). I hope this makes sense and doesn’t come across the wrong way! Just want to make sure everyone has the right info 🙂

    • Isabella Muse

yes you’re correct sorry about that! I’ve been way off my game 🙂

  • julie

just a heads up muse, you swatched peach kiss and ra-ra red, not crystal and peach kiss.
(i commented a few days ago but i don’t see my comment anywhere. weird).
