New Shades of Urban Decay Eyeshadow for Summer 2015

Urban Decay Fireball Eyeshadow ($18) is one of several new Urban Decay Eyeshadows that launched with the Summer 2015 Collection that will be added to the permanent collection. Urban Decay Fireball Eyeshadow is exciting for those who love duochrome eyeshadows.

Duochromes always confuse me slightly as they have such a huge cult following but I’ve never been a particularly big fan of the finish myself. Maybe I’m boring but I just like my eyeshadow to reflect one shade and one shade only.

But if you’re up for unique, I’m positive Urban Decay Fireball Eyeshadow will thrill you as this one has a lot of different things going on!

Urban Decay Fireball Eyeshadow is a peach with a pink shift according to Urban Decay and I believe that’s fairly accurate. In the pot, the shade is a peachy copper that shifts pink in a certain light. It has almost metallic-like finish on lids with a duochrome effect that’s quite stunning as truly tilting your head a certain way will shift the shade easily enough. It’s an interesting and beautiful finish and effect.

The texture of the shade is super velvety and almost creamy. It applies with excellent color pay off and blended easily with very, very little fall out even though the shade was ever so slightly powdery on swatch.

As I mentioned above I’m not super keen on a duochrome finish but Fireball is mind changing for sure. I love peach shades of shadow as they are very complimentary to my skin tone. Fireball does take peach to a new level though as it shifts from a lighter coppery peach to a pink peach in sunlight which is visually very noticeable! It’s an interesting effect and dare I say almost magical!

Considering there’s such a vast array of Urban Decay Eyeshadows that’s available in a ton of finishes and shades you’d think that Fireball wouldn’t stand out all that much. But also take into consideration how few duochromes that Urban Decay’s Eyeshadow range has and you’ll find the uniqueness in this shade for sure!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I wasn’t going to get this one.. but seeing it on the eye may have changed my mind.

Me too! I thought it was going to be too orangey, but it really isn’t!

I just placed a massive UD.com order and limited myself to one full-size shadow (I got so much other stuff, and I really don’t need more shadow) I wanted to get Scorpio (reminds me of Cobra from my Black Palette) or Lounge (my HG is back!) BUT I saw Fireball and decided this would be my shadow choice for this order. It’s supposed to ship by Monday. This shadow is now definitely getting experimented with first!
