Yves Rocher Lip Balm

No shame here I’m a lip balm addict! My latest budget balm buy, Yves Rocher Nourishing Lip Balm ($3.50) in yummy cherry! Yves Rocher recently launched a full range of Baby Lips-like nourishing lip balms in several shades and flavors.

Let’s take a look!

Yves Rocher Nourishing Lip Balm

Yves Rocher Nourishing Lip Balm is a nice pick up if Baby Lips isn’t cutting it for you! These have considerably more pigmentation than Baby Lips do although they lack the moisture that formula has. Go figure! You have to lose one thing to gain another!

Funny, as Baby Lips aren’t particularly moisturizing to my lips. I mean they are ok and with daily use my lips do feel softer but the formula isn’t one I’m obsessed with. I had hopes Yves Rocher would be a nicer formulation and on some levels it is in regards to pigmentation but not necessarily on the moisture level.

I find this formula starts out pretty dense but with a few uses the formula kinda softens up and has less of a drag during application. It has a slightly shiny sheen finish after application and plenty of red tint (I tried the shade Cherry) with a yummy cherry flavor and fragrance! I’m honestly not terribly impressed with the overall formula but do love how much pigment this little balm has which is a plus!

If Yves Rocher worked on making these more moisturizing I’d be more inclined to rave….! Sadness!

A little more moisture here would seal the deal on this little lip balm.

I love Yves Rocher! It’s my favorite natural brand, I absolutely love their eye pencils and foundation. Just wrote about it recently 🙂 I’ll be sure to check out the lip balm now too 🙂

I’m a longtime YR fan too – I saw these in the latest mailing but had no idea they were colorful. I’ll have to get some now!

Wow, great color pay-off for a lipbalm! Suits you very well.^^
Are the ingredients listed on the lip balm perhaps? I’m aiming for at least 99% natural ingredients in my make up and skincare and I know most of Yves Rocher’s products are synthetic with just some natural ingredients added! Although some products are completely natural..
