Colourpop Blood Lippie Stix Review & Swatches

Colourpop Lippie Stix Blood

Colourpop Blood Lippie Stix ($5) is part of the new Colourpop Rumer Has It Collection which is a collaborated collection between Colorpop Cosmetics and Rumer Willis. Colourpop is like the little Indie brand that could! They are really making a name for themselves yet still have the same beauty budget friendly prices we all love so hard.

Blood is is a vampy matte red that I’m sure you’re going to love!

Colourpop Blood Lippie Stix is a matte, vampy burgundy wine that’s quite pigmented, rich, and warm. I tend to not be able to wear these shades as for some reason they appear a bit patchy on my drier lips but Blood actually looked very smooth and even.

Colourpop Blood Lippie Stix Swatches

As I mentioned in a past review, sometimes the Colourpop Lippie Stix formula doesn’t agree with me as it falls into my natural lip lines and ends up looking dry. But the matte finishes seem to b exception! They aren’t without the issue of being a little draggy during application but they do not settle into my lip lines and have a very smooth, even finish without looking or feeling dry (but not hydrating either). This color is strong but I had no issues with it migrating, feather, or flaking and it wore for a solid five hours and left a stain behind well after fading. I don’t really detect fragrance or flavor in these but people have mentioned they taste like vanilla and I’m kinda sorta getting that.

Colourpop Lippie Stix come housed in a white slim casing with a swivel up design and a slanted tip for easy application.

Colourpop Blood Lippie Stix is a gorgeous, wearable shade of burgundy red that’s perfect for a hot Summer night out or more importantly it’ll make for an excellent fall lipstick shade and believe me Fall is around the corner believe it or not!

I’m so glad you’re doing reviews of this brand. I love them! Though their eye shadows are a little hard to get used to (I’m way better with a brush then my fingers).

Also, and I do not want to sound creepy or anything so please forgive me if it does, but- that shade is very striking on you.

aw thanks wingadings 🙂 that’s very nice of you to say! hugs! Yeah their eyeshadows are different! I don’t mind so much with fingers but I also prefer brushes!

I saw another review of these and wasn’t thrilled. I thought they sat on top of the lips and also settled in the lines. However, the mattes look better than the other finishes IMO and this one is a great color.

I think it looks really pretty on you. (and smooth)

the mattes are MUCH smoother in my opinion! Not exactly hydrating but not incredibly drying either! and quite smooth and even! thank you 🙂

Love that colour and it is so gorgeous on you Isabella. It is definitely an autumn colour. Great reviews and an even better price.

Oh, thanks so much for the swatches!! I’ve been so curious since this Blood color came out. I already have 5 of their lippies and totally love them, will definitely be getting this one and maybe some backups too. This is such a classic color, perfect for fall/winter.
