Colourpop Fighter Lippie Stix ($5) was worn by Jessica Chastain recently at the Met Gala. Hmmm looking at Colourpop getting all friendly on the red carpet! Colourpop Fighter Lippie Stix is a bold, vibrant red created to empower woman.
Let’s take a peek!
Colourpop Fighter Lippie Stix is a true red with a slight blue undertone and a matte finish. This is a more traditional shade of red with a strong matte finish that creates a classic red lip look.
At $5 each Colourpop Lippie Stix deliver on pigment but sometimes the formula doesn’t always get on well with me! But I’m very happy with the matte finish on this one. It has a slight tug during application but a very smooth, even finish that doesn’t feel or look dry. I have an issue with some of the creamier shades falling into my natural lip lines which results in a drier look but I had no so issues with Fighter as due to the matte finish it has a very smooth look. The color doesn’t feather, flake, nor does it migrate and it wears for a solid five hours before leaving a slight stain behind during its final hour of wear.

A lot of reader’s have mentioned they experience the same issue with the Lippie Stix formula settling into their natural lip lines and suggested that the matte finish wore so much better and I must agree. It’s not without a minor quirk during application (it felt a bit draggy) but overall, the finish and wear are so much more smooth on my drier lips.
Like all Lippie Stix this comes in a white slim casing with a swiveling up design and a slanted tip for easy application. Love the slanted tip as it means I never have to worry about sharpening it and the slant will always fit perfectly on the contour of my lips during application! I don’t really notice a flavor or fragrance with these but some have said there’s a slight vanilla and maybe I’m sensing that too now!? But it’s quite subtle!
All in all Colourpop Fighter Lippie Stix is a great little budget pick especially if you love traditional red lipsticks! At $5 you can’t beat this budget beauty!
