L'occitane Pivoine Sublime Tinted Lip Balms

Like I need another tinted lip balm right? But how can I resist L’occitane Pivoine Sublime Tinted Lip Balms ($16) with their gorgeous hues inspired by the pretty peony flower and a formula enriched with shea butter to hydrate my lips plus a hint of tint.

I can’t resist.

Pivoine Sublime Tinted Lip Balm i L’occitane’s newest makeup offering (I do so love when L’occitane dabbles in makeup) and is available in four shade which are inspired by the gorgeous hues of peonies. These are formulated with shea butter, a hint of tint, and an SPF 25. And hey, if you aren’t into tinted lip balm no worries as there’s even a clear shade available for added moisture sans color!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. it was great thanks dee! good to be home though 😀

They look like the Fresh tinted lip balms… but cheaper… and better SPF protection.

  • Gillie

    Welcome back! 🙂

The packaging looks similar to Fresh, but the price is lower. I wonder how the formula compares. I love L’Occitaine!

    • Isabella Muse

thanks gillie good to be back! 🙂 I’m curious myself gonna try and hop over there after work and grab one up!

      • Gillie

Ooh! Waiting for your report while busily using up my Fresh Sugar Cherry so I can justify one of these! LOL

  • Anna Fantasia

I purchased the Rose Amber. The color shows up on my lips really well where sometimes Fresh is more transparent. In comparison to Fresh, I find l’Occitane’s balm less creamy or soft and the color is more satin, less glossy. But I still really like these. Muse, do you think these are permanent? And by the way welcome home, I missed you 🙂

    • Isabella Muse

missed you too Anna thanks for updating on these, eager to try them!!!!!!!! I doubt it 🙁 They don’t seem to keep makeup around long and tend to dice things seasonally in my experience. If we are lucky we might see these a year! They don’t say LE but I find that L’Occitane is always launching new makeup bits so it is possible these will disappear at some point 🙁

  • Sara

Unfortunately these balms are limited edition within this peony campaign. I like them better the the fresh ones, the colours show up better, higher spf and their not as soft and mushy!

    • Isabella Muse

awwww! 🙁 Thanks sara! Hopefully I don’t love them TOO much!

  • Caroline

Yes! They do look a lot like Fresh…one of my favorite lip brands. That SPF 25…berry berry nice!

  • Pamela

I’m glad you had a nice time off! Missed your reviews but saved money!

I am a lip balm junkie so I liked this one and will get some ASAP.

I have had every one born, I swear. I sent my friend (she’s on a diet) some french fry, cinnamon buns with frosting, chocolate and some others I can’t remember. (all lip balms) She loved them. I’ll get one of these for her as well.
