E.L.F. Beauty and the Beast Super Glossy Lipshine Review & Swatches
There are three, limited edition E.L.F. Beauty and the Beast Super Glossy Lipshine Lipglosses available with the new E.L.F. Cosmetics Beauty and the Beast Collection that recently launched at Walgreens!
These cutesy lipglosses are inspired by Belle and her Beast but unfortunately, even fans might want to skip out on them!
I love E.L.F. for extending their Disney Collections to single release products. They’ve been doing Disney Collections for a while but these collections have been limited to Look Books featuring eyeshadow, lipgloss, blush, etc…in one set. Recently, they launched an entire E.L.F. Frozen Elsa Collection which still featured a Look Book but also single lipglosses, an eyeshadow palette, a blush palette, and other items! Unfortunately, thus far the offerings have been disappointing particularly the lipglosses!
E.L.F. Beauty and the Beast Super Glossy Lipshine Swatches (Mrs Potts, Belle, Rose)
The tubes have an image with Belle’s rose locked in a glass dome done in gold. Aside from this there isn’t any other nod to Beauty and the Beast on the packaging. These are a little more expensive at $2.99 eacb as the Super Glossy Lipshine Lipglosses are marked at $2 typically plus in the past there have been sets that included three full size lip products like the E.L.F. Disney Jasmine a Whole New World Collection which was $5.99. Factor in the fact that I dislike the formula and it really is a miss of a product.
It’s weird because Super Glossy Lipshine is a hit or miss product. I’ve run across one or two shades that have been great and I’ve run into others that are a ooey gooey mess! And that’s exactly the case with these ones. These are SO thick they come across as more of a super thick lip paint. They do not spread easily on my lips and they feel incredibly heavy and awful. The finish is gross and uneven with color settling badly into my natural lip lines. Believe me to get the photos I took below I had to really blot and smooth my finger across my lips because it was just one big hot mess! They also have a very, very strong grape fragrance and flavor. There’s something strange in the ingredients as well that makes my lips tingle and feel numb. They aren’t promoted as a plumping gloss but they kinda have the sting of one.

I have several E.L.F. Disney Lip Sets that have this formula and all of them were great. The formula on those were glossy, thicker, and super shiny! I really liked them and they even kinda reminded me of Too Faced Mirror Mirror Lipgloss (a very fond favorite of mine) but I find the shades that are cream or shimmer tend to be a poorer texture and that’s the case with these three!
It’s such a shame because some of these colors are really pretty nudes.
Oh well!
