Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer

Skipping beauty steps is becoming such a thing now. Beauty, skincare, and makeup that gets us out the door faster is all the rage. For example, Nivea’s In Shower Moisturizer totally makes it easy to get our daily body cream dosage in the shower! Just apply it right in the shower and rinse it off for smooth, soft skin.

Now we got Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer which might help speed up your morning routine too!

Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer allows you to apply your moisturizer right on wet skin. So hop out of the shower and before you towel off apply a little Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer to your legs, arms, etc…! Now towel off. The moisturizer is formulated to be apply directly to wet skin without causing a slipper mess and absorbs right into skin leaving it soft, smooth, and instantly hydrated. So…you aren’t really skipping a step here but it’s kinda neat you don’t have to dry off before applying your moisturizer right?

Count me curious!

Oooooh! I really want to try the coconut one! Triple points for platinum members right now at ULTA so I might just go ahead!

    • Jenna

I saw these in Walgreens and was really excited since I’m obsessed with coconut scents. But it doesn’t smell like coconut..they all smell the same, like the Nivea ones. I guess it just means it has coconut oil in it, not the scent. Kinda misleading. 🙁

I still use the Olay version of this but I feel like I’m the only one. It’s getting harder to find as I’ve only been able to locate it at RiteAid. Has anyone used to Olay version and either the Nivea or this one to compare?

    • Isabella Muse

I haven’t tried the Olay one but really loved the Nivea one. I’m really lazy about moisturizer and this makes it so easy to do it one step 😀 Just be careful with the Nivea one, not sure about the Olay, it really makes your shower slippery!

      • Tracy

Good to know. I don’t find the Olay version to be slippery at least in my shower. I do love the scent. It reminds me of La Source from Crabtree which is one of my personal favorites.

Everyone kept telling me I need to try Olay one but I haven’t had a chance! Good to know it isn’t slippery because the Nivea one is downright scary haha! Oh La Source is lovely 😀 I need to smell that!

Me too, I like it when I am in a hurry, but yes it is getting harder to find. I get it at Rite Aid and sometimes Walmart. Target has it sometimes, but they are weird with stock. I saw a few online that I want to try, not mass market brands.

I have used both, I do like the Nivea too, they are fairly moisturizing, the scents are nice, but I feel that the Olay one is even more moisturizing and added bonus, when I use it frequently, I notice I my heels get softer, I don’t even apply it there, I think it’s just the runoff down the drain 🙂

Is this good for sensitive skin? I agree with Isabella, the Olay makes your shower slippery!

  • amy

This really isn’t a new concept; the idea of applying moisturizer while skin is still wet has been around for *decades*, LOL! This is simply marketing, and probably an excuse to jack up the price. As someone who has drier skin, I’ve employed this “concept” nearly my entire life, from head to toe!

Tracy and Muse; the Olay one is great too. Been using that one for years, nice and moisturizing to both dry winter skin and summer tanned skin that needs a drink. I think you get less product for a similar amount of money as compared to the Nivea ones, but the quality makes it worth still getting. I tried the Nivea product and like it too. Not QUITE as moisturizing as the Olay, but close enough if you get the most moisturizing formula (the dark blue one, almond oil I think). I use this kind of product with every shower, so I don’t plan on stopping with the Olay formula – until I can no longer find it.

I saw these at a local Walgreens last week and I was intrigued. I almost bought one but passed. I’m going to look at them again though.

This Jergens product is kind of curious, because really, you can put any moisturizer over damp skin, which is best and which I do anyway, but this is used before you towel off, and I don’t know about you, but I generally won’t get out of the shower without a towel, because I get a chill, even when it’s warm, so it’s not sounding real appealing to me. In the winter, forget it…I would have rather it been an in shower moisturizer, it’s nice to have a variety in those as I like variety, different body lotions, shower gels, you name it.

Was checking it out on the Jergen’s website. Mineral oil is the second ingredient, not a good thing. Mineral oil is not a healthy ingredient by any means. All products are absorbed through the skin and mineral oil can be damaging to the neurological system.

    • anne

I would imagine it gunks up the towels if you have to dry down after applying it. Dunno, :p

      • mirandagrosvenor

That’s exactly what I thought anne. Ewwwwwwwww. I don’t know about everyone else but I don’t have a chambermaid to do my laundry from changing towels after every shower.

    • Sjofna

I almost bought this last night after seeing it on here, but once I saw mineral oil listed I put it back.

I really like the Nivea one bec it doesn’t leave your skin feeling like you just put lotion on.
