Maybelline Berry Chic swatches

Maybelline Berry Chic Color Sensational Lipstick looks a lot more pigmented in the tube than it is on lips. This little color has a semi sheer finish but builds nicely to an opaque one. The color is that of a Winter plum purple which is very easy to wear due to the sheerness of the shade.

I find the formula interesting as it reminds me of MAC Lustre Lipstick as it has a thin balminess to it much like MAC’s formula! It feels pleasantly and lightly hydrating on my lips but does drag every so slightly during application but no worries it isn’t a dry drag just the heavier glide of a lip balm if that makes sense. I find the finish has a very light shine to it and applies smoothly and evenly.

Unfortunately, it does have an unusual flavor and fragrance that’s kinda of perfume-y play doh but it is a lot more subtle here than in other Color Sensational Lipsticks I own!

Love the shade, happy with the formula so I’d say bringing home Maybelline Berry Chic Color Sensational Lipstick with you is a wise choice. Don’t write the color off as being scary as the sheerness means you can work this color very, very easily!

Maybelline Berry Chic Color Sensational Lipstick is available now for a limited time at drugstores!

This color looks great on you! Im kinda different when it comes to “seasonal colors”, and prefer to wear deeper lip shades in the summer because i seem to look better in them with a tan! Thanks for reviewing this..i would not have given it a second glance and i really love it! (and will stop by walgreens after work to buy it!)

That is a pretty color for fall. I’d probably wear it now, though. Once it gets hot I like to just do mascara and a bright or deep lip so I feel a bit “done.”

A gorgeous colour – which is indeed for autumn as you suggest Isabella. It looks beautiful on you too.

oooh! it looks great on you!

I have this one, I picked it up last week and I love it! I agree, it goes on sheer and is def not as pigmented on the lips as it looks in the tube. (I didn’t notice the scent though, will ‘sniffy’ when I get home). I am wearing it today with a bit of a Clinique lip gloss – love it. But it will be nice for Fall (hmm… such a good point, I wonder if I added a bit of a brighter berry gloss (KissyFit by Clinique) because subliminally I thought it needed to have a spring look!)

I love the packaging too, it’s cute. Maybelline makes some of my favorite lipsticks. 🙂
