Wet n Wild Milano Collections Photo Focus Studio Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches
Wet n Wild Milano Collections Photo Focus Studio Eyeshadow Palette is a new 10 pan Photo Focus Studio Eyeshadow Palette that launched with the Wet n Wild Spring 2015/Summer 2015 Collection in three different shade selections for $7.99 each.
At this point, I’m unsure if the Wet n Wild Photo Focus Studio Eyeshadow Palette is a limited edition palette or if it will be available permanently from the brand. I had a hard time locating it but it looks like Walgreens is the best place to locate them.
Let’s take a look!
Now don’t confuse this palette with the regular range of Wet n Wild Photo Focus Studio Eyeshadow Palettes which include five shades. This palette is considerably larger and pays home to ten shades of eyeshadows. It comes housed in a plastic case with a double ended brush for application (Yeah, I bet you were expecting a sponge applicator right?).
Honestly, this is the cheap girl’s guide to awesome. It isn’t MAC, it isn’t Urban Decay, but if you’re a budget beauty kinda girl or guy I can see this palette becoming your best friend. The shadows are soft, buttery, and pigmented with fairly excellent application and very little fall out. I expected chalky, perhaps a bit of dryness, but the texture choose to surprise me. Just a warning I find the colors are a bit dense and they do swatch sheer but apply with considerably more intensity. Regular makeup brushes don’t really get on with this formula so I would go ahead and recommend a sponge eyeshadow applicator to build. The shades wore well with or without primer and my drier eyes had no issues with creasing or fading. I’d say the texture, formula, and pigment was on par with some of the shadows found in E.L.F. Look Book or eyeshadow palettes.

The palette has a range of both shimmer and matte colors. Some of the darker mattes were a little dry but nothing too bad. The shimmers weren’t too frosty and had a nice metallic look with a dense texture but a soft, silky application. Milano Collections is the nude, natural palette and it includes a selection of browns, taupes, and brassy shades of golds and coppers.
The brush they included is handy but a little too small. It’s a double ended brush that has a small eyeshadow brush on one end and a blending brush on the other. The bristles aren’t terribly soft but I didn’t experience shedding with it and I did find the blending end pretty handy. It was just the smaller eyeshadow brush that wasn’t quite great for application!
I’m not going to say they are going to win major awards but when you’re strapped for cash or you can’t see yourself splurging on say Urban Decay’s Naked Eyeshadow Palette well, for $7.99 this here palette isn’t too bad a deal.
The Wet n Wild Milano Collections Photo Focus Studio Eyeshadow Palette is available now at Walgreens.
