Wet n Wild Milano Collections Photo Focus Studio Eyeshadow Palette is a new 10 pan Photo Focus Studio Eyeshadow Palette that launched with the Wet n Wild Spring 2015/Summer 2015 Collection in three different shade selections for $7.99 each.

At this point, I’m unsure if the Wet n Wild Photo Focus Studio Eyeshadow Palette is a limited edition palette or if it will be available permanently from the brand. I had a hard time locating it but it looks like Walgreens is the best place to locate them.

Let’s take a look!

Now don’t confuse this palette with the regular range of Wet n Wild Photo Focus Studio Eyeshadow Palettes which include five shades. This palette is considerably larger and pays home to ten shades of eyeshadows. It comes housed in a plastic case with a double ended brush for application (Yeah, I bet you were expecting a sponge applicator right?).

Honestly, this is the cheap girl’s guide to awesome. It isn’t MAC, it isn’t Urban Decay, but if you’re a budget beauty kinda girl or guy I can see this palette becoming your best friend. The shadows are soft, buttery, and pigmented with fairly excellent application and very little fall out. I expected chalky, perhaps a bit of dryness, but the texture choose to surprise me. Just a warning I find the colors are a bit dense and they do swatch sheer but apply with considerably more intensity. Regular makeup brushes don’t really get on with this formula so I would go ahead and recommend a sponge eyeshadow applicator to build. The shades wore well with or without primer and my drier eyes had no issues with creasing or fading. I’d say the texture, formula, and pigment was on par with some of the shadows found in E.L.F. Look Book or eyeshadow palettes.

The palette has a range of both shimmer and matte colors. Some of the darker mattes were a little dry but nothing too bad. The shimmers weren’t too frosty and had a nice metallic look with a dense texture but a soft, silky application. Milano Collections is the nude, natural palette and it includes a selection of browns, taupes, and brassy shades of golds and coppers.

The brush they included is handy but a little too small. It’s a double ended brush that has a small eyeshadow brush on one end and a blending brush on the other. The bristles aren’t terribly soft but I didn’t experience shedding with it and I did find the blending end pretty handy. It was just the smaller eyeshadow brush that wasn’t quite great for application!

I’m not going to say they are going to win major awards but when you’re strapped for cash or you can’t see yourself splurging on say Urban Decay’s Naked Eyeshadow Palette well, for $7.99 this here palette isn’t too bad a deal.

Will check this out! I love thier mascara that you reviewed recently. Looks like one of the It cosmetics. Think its Maxed to the Volume mascara? Hot pink packaging. Its my HG!!! Wet n Wild has a few hits recently!

Oh sorry Robin I fear that wasn’t me! I haven’t reviewed one of WnW’s mascaras in a long time!

GIRL that’s ages ago lol! I even forgot about that by now! *head desk*

I have this and it is pretty nice, especially for the price. However, you are correct in saying it is sort of hard to find at this point. I actually haven’t seen this (or the other two palettes) in a good while. I got mine when they were initially launched in an endcap display but I have not seen them since in the regular display. Wondering if they are indeed LE like you mentioned.

    • Isabella Muse

i think they might be Carol! I haven’t seen them around and they were hard to find!!

Waaw,.. nice Eye-shadow Palette… Thanks for the review,..

WnW will forever and always be my baby and these are drop dead gorgeous. DEFINITELY picking it up. Local Walgreens, please get with the times, you’re an hour away and I can’t afford to drive up every day to see if you have my baby. =(

These look great. I always thought WnW does really well with browns.

I saw some good reviews on these, but several months later and after numerous trips to various Walgreens, gave up looking for them. And you can’t find them online at WNW or Walgreens either. Since then, I’ve accumulated more neutral shadows, so I have no reason to buy this anymore. It’s such a shame because there’s definitely a demand for such a nice-performing palette at $8, but if you can’t find them, what’s the point?? They are losing (and frustrating) potential customers by making this so scarce. If it’s a good product, they should be cranking more of these out.

It’s sad when you find a great buy like this one and the beauty brand makes it hard to find… Defeats the purpose of selling doesn’t it?
It looks pretty good for the price and I would like to see the others in the set.

  • Rachel

I can’t find this thing anywhere. I’ve been stalking the Walgreens in my area. I WANT. Too bad MUA isn’t swapping anymore. That was usually my best bet.

  • Diana

So it’s not as good as their amazing 8 pan palettes in the regular line, but better than a lot at the drug store?

  • Shauna

These are a Walgreens exclusive and I believe that the purple palette and the neutral palette are permanent but the green palette is LE.

  • Tina Lam

I’ve been eyeing this palette but honestly I doubt I need it.

  • danadoo

I have completely abandoned all drugstore eyeshadows in favor of high end ones, and I’m never looking back! Don’t get me wrong, i am not a beauty snob and i buy TONS of stuff from the drugstore..just not eyeshadow. I have wasted so many disappointing dollars on cheap palettes that i end up hating and never using..i’m just DONE. I save my dollars for Lorac, It cosmetics and Urban Decay and am never let down by these guys. It would take some serious convincing to get me to buy eyeshadow on the cheap again. Now lipstick is a different story entirely!

    • Isabella Muse

I agree Danadoo! lipstick yes, eyeshadows almost ALWAYS disappoint!

  • GirlieShoppe

Ooooh…. I definitely need this and all the lip glosses!

    • Isabella Muse

Yup! that’s the one JJ! 🙂 Aw my pleasure I’m glad I helped!
