Dior Addict Fluid Shadow

Going for metallics this Fall? The new Dior Addict Fluid Shadow for Fall 2015 bring lightweight, illuminating color to lids in six gorgeous shades.

Take a look!

Dior Addict Fluid Shadow ($32) is a new hybrid formula that provides long wearing color to eyes with a mirror-like luminous finish. I’ve seen some swatches and they are quite metallic! Destinee is a shade in particular that stands out as there are so few red eyeshadows on the market!

These have a lipgloss like brush for application and instructions say to “apply only on the mobile eyelid for optimal drying without transferring”. They also say to keep eyes closed for a few seconds after application. I’ve no idea what they mean by mobile but I’m a little worried about the formula being to wet and goopey now but will shall see! It’s not like we haven’t seen products like this before as NYX Cream Shadow and Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeshadow Paints offer the same formulation at a way cheaper price!

Shades:

  • Destinee (red/cranberry)
  • Aurora (pinkish cream)
  • Univers (golden brown)
  • Phenix (gold)
  • Cosmic (aubergine)
  • Magnetic (silver)

But you have a chance that Dior’s version might just get the formula down perfectly plus if you’re a high end kinda girl or guy these should be very appealing.

Count me curious!

Dior Addict Fluid Shadow for Fall 2015 will be launching on counters shortly and are now available at Nordstrom.com.

I love these eyeshadows… but $32 PER EYESHADOW?! That’s a little too expensive in my opinion 🙁 Do you know of any less-expensive, good quality alternatives to this collection of eyeshadows? (I want to try cream eyeshadows at one point because I’m experimenting with makeup, but there are so many on the market these days that I don’t know which ones are good quality! 🙂 )

I actually mentioned two in this post Anna with links to review and swatches. Hope this helps!

Thank you 🙂 The links really helped a lot… and the NYX Cream Shadows are something I want to try in the near future! 🙂

I think by ‘mobile eyelid’ they mean from the crease downward towards the lashline, like the area of the lid that moves when you blink. That’s what my brain is thinking anyway; I could be totally wrong.

    • Isabella Muse

you’re like right but I never heard it called a “mobile eyelid” before haha! Eyelid would have been sufficient 🙂

  • Andrew

Exactly, Muse. Just saying “eyelid” would have been perfectly fine. But, it’s a high end brand and you know how they love to fluff up their descriptions to make products sound unique or innovative. It personally just gets on my nerves!

    • Isabella Muse

lol! Ahem, from now on you and I shall address it as the “mobile eyelid” So fancy! ;-D

I may be El Cheapo, but i could NEVER spend over 30 bucks on a single eyeshadow! I’ll spend the 10 or so extra dollars and get a palette instead. I never feel guilty about that because i always fall in love with at least half of the colors. If i sprung for one expensive shadow and ended up hating it, i would be full of regret! Haha, for some reason this logic does not apply to expensive lipsticks and liquid eyeliners though…I’ll buy those in a heartbeat!

I can just see myself putting these on without my glasses…… A mess would be the kindest word I could use. They are very expensive and I think there are a few dupes around unless you could not live without a particular colour. Interesting to see how they work/perform.
