Lipstick Queen Belle Epoque

In a land far, far away in a not too distant past I was introduced to Dianne Brill and I instantly fell in love. Dianne Brill Eau de Parfume is one of my very top personal fragrance choices and very much holy grail. Another favorite of mine? Dianne Brill Lip Lingerie Lipgloss!

Why am I telling you this?

Because the new Lipstick Queen Belle Epoque for Fall 2015 remind me SO so so much of my beloved Lip Lingerie!

Take a look!

Lipstick Queen Belle Epoque ($20) is a brand new lip product that arrives in a tiny pot and is available in three shades. This is a tinted balm formula with a non sticky texture and a hydrating finish that adds moisture and a tint to lips. These balms contain mega 3, 6 and 9 as well as Shea Butter and Vitamin E.

Shades include:

  • Belle Pink
  • Belle Nude
  • Belle Wine

I look forward to trying these. Lipstick Queen rarely disappoints and I have a feeling Belle Epoque will be amazing!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. They look great – when I was young, lipgloss in pots was THE thing to have. Poppy, the precursor of LQ, made a fantastic gloss in big pots. The current tube/wand types are just not the same because obviously you can’t get that consistency into a tube.

As for the sanitary issue that so many people complain about, all you have to do is wash your hands (which you should be doing anyway)!

These look absolutely divine. Usually not a fan of pot gloss, but these tempt me. LQ is so fab, her products are spot on. Wine is calling me…

Hi Isabella:) Love your blog, your reviews are always wonderful & informative.Just wanted to add to Eraser’s comment. She was actually talking about Poppy King’s (The creator of Lipstick Queen) former company that she started in Australia when she was only 19 .That’s where the matte lipsticks of hers first came about, they were just called “Poppy” by Poppy King ,this was back in the early to mid 1990’s .They were awesome! She had a colour called Charity which was a HG for me .I was so sad when the company went under but she has made an amazing comeback with LQ ,they really are fantastic products:)

oh gosh don’t apologize Skye! I didn’t think you patronizing at all! I was interested in the history you shared of LQ as I honestly only remember those pot lipglosses but not the ones you mentioned. Omg lol you’re great for my ego dear! Not really but thank you! xoxoxo!

Love that wine colour and it is interesting to see that the brand has used lipstick pots instead of tubes…hmmm not sure how that will go over time.
