Sephora Blush Me Review & Swatches
Sephora Blush Me ($10) are a new fun domed shape cream blush that launched in four shades for the Fall 2015 season. I mean ten bucks really? We can totes afford to grab all the shades at this price.
Here’s my review and swatches of the new Sephora Blush Me! I’d read it before indulging…!
Honestly, domed shaped brushes like this aren’t a new deelio! Ciate recently launched a dome blush in their new makeup collection and Guerlain Meteorites Bubble Blushes made an appearance sometime ago and let’s not forget plenty of Korean brands have dome blushes such as the Nature Republic Botanical Apple Dome Blusher! But even if it isn’t new these limited edition Sephora Blush Me Cream Blushers are still cute none the less and at such a budget friendly price too!

This is just fun! Sephora packages them up in a cute portable plastic dome with a screw top that you can easily pop onto cheeks and blend out. Unfortunately, they aren’t really the friendliest option for my drier skin. The formula is a cream to powder texture that really drags during application. Something with a little more creaminess would be far easier to apply and much more easier to blend out as well. The dome shape fits the apples of my cheeks nicely and I can just dab right from the packaging onto my cheeks however, I do like to swipe on gently as well and in that case I find the texture just drags across my skin harshly as I apply. If you dot that works much better however, the texture is quite unmovable and incredibly difficult to blend out. It just spreads in a unusually difficult way and lacks any hydration at all!
These are very pigmented and that’s great but does cause issues because of the drier formula. I get a bad case of clown-y cheeks if I’m not careful since I find it so difficult to blend and sheer color out. You might wish to swirl a brush into the brush versus applying it from the packaging as that does give you more control during application. Funny as the texture and consistency quite remind me of the Physicians Formula Super BBAll-in-1 Cheek & Lip Beauty Balm which happens to be just as dry!

Sephora All Smiles Blush Me
Once I finally did struggle my way through application, I was, in fact, delighted with the wear. Cream blushes tend to fast fast on me but these wear like a champ. Color didn’t fade well into eight hours of wear and looked as great as the firs time I applied them.
Sadly, the longer wear time does not excuse the super dry and difficult to apply texture. Even oily skin users will likely struggled with Sephora Blush Me Blushes. I love the idea, I love the price, but a little more creaminess and moisture would seal the deal on these little blushes. They did disappoint me unfortunately.
