About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I love IT brushes, but I’ve never understood the appeal of contouring. I have a fairly wide face but don’t see the appeal of it. It just seems like another powder to put on my fairly dry skin. I almost exclusively use IT brushes because they are wonderful, but there’s nothing new here that I need, or don’t already have. If you did need brushes, this would be a fantastic deal for great quality brushes.

I kinda sorta don’t either but maybe that’s because I don’t know how to do it. I see videos of gurus doing it and they look amazing, I try it and I look orange lol! So yeah, not sure I’m doing it right!

I really wish the contouring trend would just die already! It seems like (in real life, not on celebrities, instagram, etc) most people are doing it wrong anyways. My makeup ritual already takes at least a half hour! Ain’t nobody got time for this!

haha! tell me about it, I don’t have time to contour either nor do I even know how to do it correctly 😀

I thought I was the only one. I feel like I must be doing it wrong because I don’t see a difference like I do when I see other people doing it. It just looks as if I have a whole bunch of something on make face and not hollowed out cheek bones..lol

I look ridiculous when attempting it. You’d think I’d benefit from it as I have a round, chubby face, but nope I look like I’m playing dress up when I try it haha You’re not alone Brittanie!

I have several contour blushes but I still want this set.
