The thing about Covergirl lipstick is, many of their shades are so frosty or have some sort of pearl/glitter finish and it looks odd on tan skinned girls like me :/

    • BB

Yeah, I am over the moon excited, but I am also very tan, and am slightly worried…

    • ssunde

      Jasmine you aren’t alone.

I’m about a NC20 with olive undertones and they look ridiculous on me too. I never buy CG lipsticks because of it. Kind of sad to see that it’s CG doing the collab. The only thing I’d have hopes for is the mascara. ‘Cause they come out with decent mascara. But nail polishes & lipsticks from CG are a complete flop.

  • Laura

omg. OMG. O M G !!!! I’m so excited. I don’t even like CG’s lipsticks that much (they taste blegh to me) but I want these so bad! I love seeing mainstream brands do geek makeup!!!

  • Rachel R.

I want the lipsticks, but it’s such a nightmare to get these kind of collections.

  • Miss PK

Thanks for sharing this!! So excited! I feel like I’m living under a rock without your posts!

  • Christine

I AM SO EXCITED. When I heard about Covergirl doing a Star Wars collection – I thought it’d be like how they did it for the Hunger Games with new color schemes to do a ‘Hunger Games’ look. But this is so much better because there’s also PACKAGING to squee over. I am not feeling the lipsticks as I have no idea whether I’d be able to pull frosted lipsticks off but the mascaras – I am all over that like a squid.

    • Isabella Muse

I was worried it would be like the Hunger Games too! Obviously they listened to our complaints and improved upon the packaging 😀

  • Katherine T.

I hope the lipsticks aren’t too frosty, like the unusual shades

Sigh. I never buy CG because they aren’t cruelty free, but I reaaaaaally want that gold and silver lipstick. =( CONFLICTED.
