Lancome Micellar Cleansing Water Review

Lancome Micellar Cleansing Water

Lancome Eau Fraiche Douceur Micellar Cleansing Water for Face, Eyes, and Lips is a gentle, effective way to remove makeup when you’re in a hurry. Micellar and cleansing waters have been becoming increasingly popular in the beauty world at the moment but Lancome Micellar Cleansing Water ($38) has actually been around for a while now.

Take a look!

Lancome Micellar Cleansing Water is probably one of my favorite higher end cleansing waters but no worries you don’t have to spend a ton of cash on it because fragrancenet.com always has it in stock and on sale so you’ll pay $31 versus $38!

So why do I like this cleansing water so much? Because I’m lazy and it gets it all off when I’m in a hurry! Plus I love the packaging. Micellar waters are totally the lazy girl’s (or guy’s) guide to easy makeup removable at the end of the night. Ya, sometimes, you just get home and really can’t go through step after step to remove makeup. I have this crazy routine where I’m using like 150 different products to get my eye makeup off, to wash my face, etc…don’t lie, I’m sure you have a laundry list size nightly skincare routine as well!

That’s where a good micellar water comes into play! Lancome recently reformulated their cleansing water from my understanding but don’t quote me on the differences between the formulas just trust me this formula works fab at removing makeup in a hurry. It even does a nice job with waterproof mascara! I love the packaging too because unlike many cleansing waters I already own this has a pump attached so I can saturate a cotton pad easily versus the pour bottles many brands embrace! This pump is really great and mess-free so I can just squirt a decent amount onto a cotton pad or on facial cotton and I’m good to go.

Lancome Micellar Cleansing Water5

I never truly feel clean after using micellar water in all honesty but there are formulas that work a lot better than others. Lancome Micellar Cleansing Water is one! This formula removes about 98% of my makeup without leaving my skin feeling sticky or tacky. It has a delightful rose fragrance that’s quite subtle to my nose and leaves skin lightly toned and hydrated. It tackles waterproof mascara fairly well but does leave behind a little bit of residue but hey, when you’re in a hurry, this does a pretty darn good job getting it off and letting you get to bed a little earlier without tackling several different cleansing products!

If you’re shopping a higher end micellar water, I’d say Lancome Micellar Cleansing Water fits the bill nicely!

Grab it now at fragrancenet.com.

Tried it already?

thanks for doing a review about this. I’ve been thinking about trying one out. I had a small sample from Vichy and liked it ok. I’m a huge fan of Lancome and have some points saved up, maybe I’ll use them to try it. Either way thanks for the post and your blog is great.

It sounds lovely but $38?! For water, hexylene glycol and glycerin, et al. At 6.8 oz that makes it $5.58/oz, or $714.24/gallon.
I’d rather spend my beauty bucks on something with more punch per $ than basically water.
The equivalent Simple brand would be $117/ gallon, still. But that’s better!

I’ve been using this for a while, and I agree about its cleansing properties, but I can’t deal with the strong scent of it!! I blended mine half and half with the Simple Micellar water and it’s toned it down enough that I can use it and it still cleans great. The package is the bomb-diggity – I will keep the pump bottle and use it with whatever I end up replacing the lancome one with. If Lancome didn’t insist on scenting the bejeezus out of everything they make, I would be a big fan – as it is, I just can’t deal with that much fragrance. Sigh… C’mon, lancome, get with the program and de-scent everything wouldja? 🙂

First time I think I have seen anyone cover this. I have been using this for years since I was introduced to it at a Navy Exchange (waiting for husband…best way to use up time by getting your makeup done!)

I absolutely loved the formula on this one, but I can’t deal with the fragrance! Not only donI find it waaay overpowering, I have crazy skin and anything with fragrance causes a horrible, terrible acne flare up. I was so disappointed, but I guess in the long run it saves me money to not be able to use it. It costs A LOT.

Of all that you’ve tried, drugstore and department, which do you like the best and is worth the price??
