Marc Jacobs Beauty Enamored Hi-Shine Lip Lacquer

Yes, I’m enamored with Marc Jacobs Beauty Enamored Hi-Shine Lip Lacquer ($28) and today I thought I’d review and swatch up these lovely little lipglosses! Marc Jacobs Beauty Enamored Hi-Shine Lip Lacquer are a high shine lipgloss with a triple shine complex that’s marked as having the finish of “30 coats of lacquer”.

I’m one of those girls that love high shine and it’s one of the things I look for often in my lipglosses! Even if the gloss is sheer I’m perfectly a ok with that as long as I can get an awesome shiny finish.

Does Marc Jacobs Beauty Enamored Hi-Shine Lip Lacquer live up to the high shine factor?

Marc Jacobs Enamored Hi-Shine Lip Lacquer comes housed in a square barrel tube with a flocked applicator for application. It deserves to be said that applicators can make or break a gloss in my humble opinion and lucky enough Marc Jacobs packaged up his lipgloss with a soft, sponge-y applicator that saturates well with color and it applies it beautifully.

I tried two different shades and both had a wear time of around four hours and felt very nicely moisturizing on my lips. Pigment did vary from shade to shade for me with Love Drunk a good deal of color and Uproar providing more of a subtle tint and a nice shimmery finish. It seems the colors do vary in pigmentation and finish as Love Drunk was more creamy versus Uproar being more shimmery and Moonglow having the least pigment of the three. All the shades were a pleasure to apply, use, and wear. I thought the application very smooth and very even with a formula that had a gel-like consistency and a plushness that adds light moisture to my lips. They aren’t tacky nor are they sticky and have a very subtle vanilla-ish taste and flavor.

So do they look like I applied 30 coats of lacquer on my lips? Well, not really! But they do have a very high shine finish and that’s exactly what I love the most about the formula! So really Marc Jacobs Beauty Enamored Hi-Shine Lip Lacquer have a lot going for them! Color, sometimes shimmer, and most important a super shiny finish in a long wearing formula that provides moisture but never tackiness or stickiness!

I like these.

A lot.

I can see myself indulging in more shades!

Muse, I just in fact picked up one of these in the shade “Pretty Thing” and I freaking LOVE it. It’s a beautiful sheer nudey-pink shade, that is perfect for everyday wear. I also love the subtle minty-vanilla scent of these 🙂
Glad you love! I also have had a shade of the Sheer Lip Gels, too, and those are nice too, only with they were a bit more moisturizing.

Need to grab that one BB 😀 I have to try the sheer lip gels heard a lot of good things 🙂

I have the color Pink Steam from this line and LOVE it! I am fair and cool-toned with relatively pale lips and on me it is a perfect shimmery lavender – not too sheer, but not heavy and opaque, either.

I also like the formula of these much better than the previous line of MJ glosses. Those smelled incredible and had beautiful colors, but I had terrible bleeding/feathering issues with them that made them pretty much unwearable, even with a clear lipliner.

Pretty! Absolutely! But would I pay this much money for ’em? Nah, probably not.
