Catrice Pure Shine Colour Lip Balm Review & Swatches
Chubby lip pencil lovers rejoice as there’s a new kid on the block to try out! As you know German brand Catrice recently launched at Ulta and with that collection the Catrice Pure Shine Colour Lip Balm Pencils (5.99) also arrived.
These chubby little lip pencils are budget friendly and available in a selection of seven shades.

Catrice Pure Shine Colour Lip Balm are your standard twist up chubby lip pencil that’s 0.08 in size. Although the packaging is the same design as many other pencils of its kind the formula does stand out as unique.
These have a light texture with a balmy consistency and a subtle vanilla flavor and fragrance. I purchased one shade, Rose & Woody, which I thought would be a nice dusky rose for Fall looks (and I was right, love this color for Fall!)! This gives lips a lovely dusky rose natural finish. The formula is very lightweight and doesn’t leave lips feeling sticky or heavy with product. The light, soft coverage ensures you can touch up easily without a mirror in a snap! The wear is around three to four hours without migrating, feathering, or drying lips out. I wouldn’t say this formula is hydrating but it isn’t drying in the least and wears very comfortably. They do say these have a shiny finish but it’s more of a hint of sheen versus full on shine. I thought the formula was definitely one of the lighter and more comfortable ones I’ve tried out recently which makes it a little different compared to the dozens and dozens of chubby lip pencils on the market at the moment!

It’s a weird thing about chubby lip pencils as you’d think by now the trend was over and a bit tired. But personally I never get tired of them and I’m always excited about budget friendly ones like the Catrice Pure Shine Colour Lip Balm!
This is a lovely little budget friend lip pencil that give lips a hint of color in a highly wearable lightweight formula.
