About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. The packaging is beautiful, but with MAC’S track record lately I’m definitely going to pass. For the price I want more than just pretty packaging, I want a good amount of quality product to justify the Chanel-esque prices.

Unfortunately, the quality hasn’t been up to par for about half of their recent collections and I don’t want to spend crazy money on a 50-50 shot.

This is a collection I would buy just for the packaging. Unfortunately, I’m sure it’ll sell out before I ever had a chance at it.

Isabella Muse, have you had a chance to test these products out? If so what you would choose as a must from this collection. It seems a little more pricier. I would like to get a few pieces but not sure if I can afford all. It looks beautiful!

way too expensive. over priced for sure. I agree with the first post, 50/50 chance

The packaging is to die for, and the swatches I’ve seen look good. But…I just can’t bring myself to pay these prices.

I’m not crazy about any of the colors except the 2 blushes. But I’m a sucker for packaging, and who am I kidding? I’ll probably buy those brushes just because they’re pretty and convince myself that I need them because they’re functional too!

As much as I’d like to whip out that powder compact in public, this is a little too rich for my blood. I can think of much more fun things to get with my hard earned cash (lookin at you vice 4)!

The prices are somehow a little lower in the Netherlands (example €48 for the powder = $54) but the swatches I’ve seen don’t impress me really.. Packaging is cute but I’ll pass on this one.. Have got enough powders, some of the eyeshadows in singles and the blushes are going to look ridiculous on me 😛 Too bad I can’t get my hands on other brands holiday stuff though (too faced, UD etc.) without paying double for shipping and triple at border! Oh well..
