Revlon Ultimate All-In-One Mascara Review

Revlon Ultimate All-In-One Mascara3

Revlon Ultimate All-In-One Mascara is a new, permanent high impact mascara that promises to add volume, length, definition, lift, and intense color to lashes. Revlon Ultimate All-In-One Mascara is one of those mascara that shocked me as I went into this purchase thinking hmmmm, it’s probably a one trick pony. Let’s face it most mascara formulas will either get you some great length or some great volume but rarely do you get one that are able to deliver both.

But Revlon Ultimate All-In-One Mascara might just be the exception to the rule.

Revlon Ultimate All in One Mascara

Revlon Ultimate All-In-One Mascara comes housed in a rather slick flat packaging that will remind you of Hourglass Prodigy Lipgloss or even the Sephora Divergent Lipglosses. It has a short mini brush that looks like it was create for lower lashes versus your top ones. Revlon calls the brush a “power mini brush” and promises the unique oval shape makes for easy application as the hollow core design deposits the formula on each lash easily.

The smaller brush kinda had me scratching my head and I felt for sure this wouldn’t work out well at all as it was so tiny. The brush is about a quarter the size of a normal standard mascara applicator. Personally I didn’t think the brush would successfully work on my upper lashes but I did have a moment of, “Oh well at least it’ll work on my lower lashes!” But turns out I was wrong as the brush does indeed work great on both the lower and upper lash line.

Revlon Ultimate All-In-One Mascara8

This is a tube formula of sorts that’s quite wet and removes easily at the end of the day without smudging or flaking up during the wear. It isn’t a tube formula that’s dry and it isn’t one that makes you feel like you have a lash in your eye when you’re wearing it. However, as you remove it you’ll notice the little tubes break down easily and will look like little lashes on your cotton pad.

To use the smaller brush I wriggle it under my lash line and at the root and pull slowly forward. It adds incredible volume to my lashes so they appear quite fuller. The brush, although small, also adds a good deal of length. And yes, it also does a fab job adding inky blackness to my already dark lashes so it is quite dramatically intense and pigmented as promised.

I wouldn’t say it adds curl but it does lift lashes upwards and outwards so so far I’d say it’s batting a 5 out of 5 on its promise of adding length, volume, definition, lift, and pigment!

Now it can be tricky to use at first so I recommend curling lashes prior for the best results. I noticed I got the best results when I curled my lashes as the curler pulled my lashes upwards and made it easier for me to get at the root of my lash with the brush.

Yes, I was skeptical the very tiny brush head wouldn’t work for me because as I mentioned it looked more like a detail brush or a brush that would work on lower lashes. But it actually did a fabulous job lifting my lashes upward and out while adding a ton of volume to my lashes so they appeared fuller and longer. This actually quite reminds me of It Cosmetics Tight Line Mascara but it adds way MORE volume to my lashes.

Revlon delighted and surprised me with this formula. It was unexpected and I really didn’t think it would work but Revlon Ultimate All-In-One Mascara isn’t just another one tricky pony mascara. This one delivers on the 5 in 1 formula it promises to add length, fullness, lift, pigment, and defination to wimpy lashes so they look fuller, longer, lifted, and more defined.

Likey!

Muse. This looks interesting. How does it compare to Tarte Lights Camera lashes mascara? I love that one. Thanks.

I’m a fan of it too. I’d say this delivers more volume when compared to Tarte’s formula. My lashes look a lot fuller to me when I’m using it versus Lights, Camera, Lashes.

Glad to see a review on this. I was wondering myself if this was worth checking out. I feel that there is a new mascara coming out every other day and I’m tired of purchasing them only to be disappointed. Glad you liked this and thanks for the great review. I think I’ll try it.

I hear ya! I’m almost always disappointed with mascara for some reason I can’t find a formula that I love sometimes and just stick with what I do already ;-D This one was worth it though! I really liked the results. Looking forward to hearing what you think! 🙂

Revlon has always had strong mascara game, which makes me wonder why they’ve never allowed one to stay on the market for any length of time…

I bought this but sadly, I had a very different experience than you did. I never owned a mascara that flaked this badly. I applied at 7 AM and by my lunch break pretty much all of the mascara had flaked off.

    • Susan

It flaked badly on me as well. Too bad, because I also found that I loved the small brush.

    • Bonnie

I bought this and at first I really liked it, my lashes looked great. But, I too have a horrible problem with it flaking and with all my make up on I can’t rub my eyes. I’m very disappointed!

  • Robyn

this mascara is just a glob of something that no way defines my lashes. The brush did not work as a brush and just left a thick layer of product on my skin as well a stuck together lashes. Do not recommend

I have plenty of long, BLOND lashes. I love this mascara formula, as it does not flake or smudge, and comes off without smearing under my eyes when I remove it at night. But I’m with Robyn on the brush. It just sort of slathers it on. When you have blond lashes, you notice every detail. I have a clean mascara brush which I use to separated the lashes after I’ve applied the mascara.

I got because it was on sale at target. Thought same about brush but it has turned into a favorite mascara. Hope I can repurchase and it doesn’t disappear soon from shelves

I did not like it. I wanted to like it, but there was nothing about it I liked oh except the very cool red and black container. It flaked on my face during the day, it was a smeary mess going on, and removing it at the end of the day…whoa. I didn’t realize I had so much ON my lashes. The flat cotton pad was just covered in the black goo.
For drugstore brands, I am sticking with L’Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes, and for my all time fave: Smashbox. Goes on clean, looks neat all day. Never smears, flakes or has those goopy flecks on my lashes as someone said makes you feel like something is in your eye.

Hi, I bought the ultimate volume one (pink tip). It doesn’t give any volume and it flakes. Disappointed, won’t recommend.

  • Sandra

I bought the all in one and was also not impressed. The mascara flaked alot and irritated my eyes. By mid day I had no mascara left. I was also not a fan of the small brush.

  • Belinda

Am so disappointed. Have used Revlon in the purple and green tube for years and then this came along and replaced it. The deal at Farmers was buy 2 get one free so I bought 2 blue and 1 red. The are awful. They sting my eyes and make my eyes water all day. Thought it was my brushes needing a clean but no its definately the mascara. They must have changed the formula. Now I’m stuck with 3 new mascara that I cant use and will have to go through the wholeprocess of finding a new brand. Grrrrr!!! Wont recommend.
